The game, designated “White Out Tuesday,” marks the return of the team following an 11-day, four-game road trip through Alaska and northern California.
The 7:05 p.m. tip-off marks the second half of a home-and-home series with the University of Las Vegas-Nevada Runnin’ Rebels.
UH went 2-2 on its recent road trip, which took the ’Bows to the Great Alaska Shootout and a non-conference game against Santa Clara. Hawai‘i finished third in the Shootout with wins over Hofstra and Pacific, but last Wednesday dropped a 68-59 decision to Santa Clara.
UNLV is coming off a 93-53 rout over Northern Arizona in St. George, Utah. Wink Adams led five Rebels who scored in double figures with 16 points.
UNLV defeated UH in the season opener in Las Vegas 73-59.
Tonight’s game begins a six-game homestand for the ’Bows through December.
The game is available on Oceanic Cable Pay-Per View and on the radio at ESPN 1420 AM, with Bobby Curran and Jeff Portnoy.
Field set for NCAA Honolulu Regional
Four seeded teams are part of the NCAA Honolulu Regional that opens Friday at 4:30 p.m.
No. 4 UCLA, No. 5 Southern California, No. 12 Hawai‘i and No. 13 Oklahoma advanced through the first and second rounds to qualify for the regional.
UCLA will go up against Oklahoma in the 4:30 p.m. game at the Stan Sheriff Center, followed by USC and Hawai‘i at 7 p.m.
The winners face off Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
Regional ticket packages are now on sale through the University of Hawai‘i ticket office. Ticket packages for both nights are $36 for lower-level seats and $30 for upper-level seats.
Individual session tickets will not be made available until Friday.
Dizon makes All-Big 12
Former Waimea High School football player Jordon Dizon was recently named to an honorable mention in the All-Big 12 program in Colorado.
Dizon, a junior linebacker for the Colorado University Buffalos, finished the season with 137 tackles, 20 more than senior linebacker Thaddaeus Washington.
Dizon is one of six CU players who made the All-Big 12 honorable mention list. Three Buffalo players, Mason Crosby, Abraham Wright and Terrence Wheatley, were named to the Big 12 Conference’s first team.
