Janis “Jan” Eileen Steiner of Kapa‘a, died Nov. 25, 2004, at her home at the age of 59.
Born Nov. 8, 1945, in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was a homemaker.
Preceded in death by her husband, Edward Steiner, she is survived by one son: David Lee McCarter of California; her mother: Mary Pauline Conger of California; one sister: Pamela Diane Rincon of California; and one brother and sister-in-law: Diane (Joseph) Steiner of New York.
Services are scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 2, at Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home. Visitation at 9 a.m. Inurnment at 9:30 a.m. at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are being handled by Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
Robert Reid Chevlin
Robert Reid Chevlin of Kapa‘a, died Nov. 24, 2004, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 42.
Born Sept. 14, 1962, in New York, he was a culinary chef at Kauai Marriott and Kilohana. He is a graduate of Hawaii Baptist Academy and played baseball for the academy.
Preceded in death by his parents, Myron and Isabelle Chevlin, he is survived by one son: Raymond J. K. Chevlin of Kapa‘a; one sister: Martha Chevlin of New Hampshire; one uncle, one niece; two nephews and three cousins.
Direct inurnment services are scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 2, at Kauai Memorial Gardens in Lihu‘e. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Raymond Chevlin Trust Fund at Kauai Community Federal Credit Union in Kapa‘a, Acct. # 69758 or mail checks payable to the Raymond Chevlin Trust Fund to P.O. Box 3131, Lihu‘e HI. Casual attire is suggested.
