Buddy Panoke
Buddy Kaohu Panoke, 46, of Waimea, Hawai’i, died on Feb. 19, at North Hawai’i Community Hospital, Kamuela, Hawai’i.
Born in Honolulu, Hawai’i, on Nov. 3, 1955. He was an entertainer, musician, composer of Hawaiian songs and owner of Keala’kahi Production.
He is survived by his wife: Camille Panoke of Waimea, Hawai’i; three sons: Shane (Irene) Tanioka of Kapa’a, Kaua’i; Aaron Panoke of Honolulu, Hawai’i; Scotty Collins of Waimea, Hawai’i; three daughters: Ashley Panoke of Kapa’a, Kaua’i; Summer Collins and Samantha Collins both of Waimea, Hawai’i; two grandchildren; his mother: Ramona Panoke of Kailua-Kona; five brothers: Herbert (Michelle) Panoke of Kapa’a, Kaua’i; Harlon (Roxanne) Dean of Sparks, Nevada; Paul (Reilene) Dean of Silver Springs, Nevada; John (Doris) Dean of Reno, Nevada; three sisters: Gemet Panoka Chang, Winifred (Michael) Hodges both of Kailua-Kona, Gwendolyn (Kimo) Kaaua of Kawaihae; numerous nephews and nieces.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, Feb. 28, Visitation 6 to 9 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Waimea 1st Ward on the Big Island, service will begin at 7 p.m. and on Friday, Feb. 29, private family service will be held.

Margaret Sakai
Margaret Masako Sakai of Hanapepe, Kaua’i, died at Hale Oma’o Nursing Facility on Feb. 17, 2002, at the age of 87.
Born in Kealia, Kaua’i, on Nov. 14, 1914, she was a cafeteria worker.
She is survived by one son: Roy (Mary Ann) Shimamoto of Kapa’a, 1 granddaughter: Doctor Paige Ann Shimamoto of O’ahu, numerous nieces, nephews & cousins.
Services were held on Friday, Feb. 22, at Hanapepe Hongwanji Mission Church.
Arrangements were handled by Borthwick Kaua’i Mortuary.
Mitsue Delostrico
Mitsue Delostrico of Hanama’ulu, Kaua’i, died at home on Feb. 24, 2002, at the age of 65.
Born in Hanalei, Kaua’i on June 6, 1936, she was a housewife.
She is survived by husband, Joseph Delostrico of Hanama’ulu, Kaua’i; sons, Russell Matsuyama, Sr. of Kalaheo, Kaua’i and Roy (Laurie) Matsuyama of Lihu’e, Kaua’i; daughter, Cindy-Jo (Leonard) Alpeche of Hanamaulu, Kaua’i; eight grandchildren; brother, Itsuo Uyeda of Wailua, Kaua’i; sisters, Yukie Muraoka of Hanapepe, Kaua’i and Tamiko Inouye of Kalaheo, Kaua’i; numerous nieces and nephews. Private services will be held at a later date.

Basilia Rapacon
Basilia Rapacon of Lawai, Kaua’i, died at Hale Kupuna Heritage Home on Feb. 21, 2002 at the age of 95.
Born in Vigan, Ilocos, Philippines on Feb. 4, 1907, she was a housewife.
She is survived by daughter-in-law, Teresita Rapacon of Lawai; grandchildren, Fred (Lisa) Rapacon of Kaumakani, Kaua’i, Marcela (Keith) Hornos of Lihu’e, Kaua’i, Chris (Mary) Rapacon of Lawai, Kaua’i, Abbey Santos of Kapa’a, Kaua’i, Wynson (Michelle) Rapacon of Koloa, Kaua’i, Julie Rapacon, Ricky (Julie) Rapacon of Lawai, Kaua’i and Brandon Rapacon of Lawai, Kaua’i; 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service officiated by Father Felix has been scheduled at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, at the St. Raphael Catholic Church in Koloa; interment to follow at the Koloa Public cemetery. Casual attire is suggested.

Joaquina “Quina” Agmata Garma, of Wahiawa, died on Feb. 13, 2002, at the age of 83.
Born in Sarrat, Illocos Norte, Philippines, she was a member of Kaua’i Catholic Club.
She is survived by son, Ricarte (Violeta) Garma of Honolulu; Son-in-law; Eduardo Daligcon of ‘Ele’ele, Kaua’i, three grandchildren; sister: Justina (Bonifacio) Corpus, P.I.; Brother: Justo (Cornelia) Agmata, P.I., Sister-in-law: Primitiva Agmata of Honolulu, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Mar. 2, at Holy Cross Catholic Church; where visitation will begin at 8 a.m. Mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Lihu’e Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested.

Espiridion “Crispin” Ramil of Puhi, Kaua’i, died at home on Feb. 21, 2002, at the age of 79.
Born in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on June 30, 1922, he was a retired plantation worker with McBryde Sugar Plantation.
He is survived by wife, Veronica of Puhi, Kaua’i; son, Renato (MaryJane) Ramil of Waipahu, O’ahu; daughters, Nena (Jose) Vallejo of Waipahu, O’ahu and Vicky (Stu) Glauberman) Ramil of Kailua, Hawai’i; eight grandchildren; sister, Dolores Rumbaoa of the Philippines; numerous nieces nephews and cousins. Friends may visit with the family from 6-9 p.m. at Garden Island Mortuary Chapel on Fri. March 1, with rosary to begin at 7:30 p.m. Visitation also at noon on Saturday, March 2, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kalaheo; mass at 1 p.m. Burial to follow at Kaua’i Memorial Gardens. Born in Hilo, Hawai’i on May 18, 1903, he was a Auto Mechanic with the County of Kaua’i.
He is survived by his wife, Haruko of Lihu’e, Kaua’i; sons, Isamu (Janet) Yoshishige of Lihu’e, Kaua’i, Takeshi Yoshishige of Kapa’a, Kaua’i, Satoru (Sueko) Yoshishige of Lihu’e, Kaua’i and Jack (Irene) Yoshishige of Honolulu, Oahu; daughters, Sumako Ichimasa of Lihu’e, Kaua’i, Judy (Claude) Kouchi of CA., and Elaine (Yusei) Tasato of CA; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sister, Kikuyo Ito of Kapa’a, Kaua’i; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
