3 from Kauai finish Ironman

KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii — Three Kauai residents completed the Ironman World Championship on Saturday on the Big Island.

Lisa Ledesma finished in 14 hours, 47 minutes and 55 seconds. She completed the 1.2-mile swim in 1:29:26, the 112-mile bike ride in 7:17:26 and the 26.2-mile run in 5:43:50. She finished 2,150th overall.

Brandon Jacinto finished in 11:48. He completed the swim in 1:05:21, the bike in 5:21:50 and the run in 5:09:15, good for 1,652th place.

Matt Ernsdorf completed the course in 14:44:27. He finished the swim in 1:06:36, the bike in 6:25:03 and the run in 6:52:03, good for 2,144th place.

All told, 2,306 men and women finished what is considered one of the world’s toughest races.
