A lot of the material involved in decluttering make good contributions to The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center, whose team arrives here on Jan. 20 (decluttering doesn’t happen overnight) from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Kaua‘i Resource Center off Ahukini Road. This will be the ARC’s first visit to Kaua‘i in 2023 after being involved with the numerous Salvation Army holiday missions on O‘ahu. Welcome back!

Senior Softball season starts

The Kaua‘i Senior Softball League opened its 2023 season on Saturday, Jan. 7, with games being contested at Pat Baniaga Field in Hanapepe and Kaumakani ball parks following the season-opening ceremony at Pat Baniaga Field.

KIF swimmers make state meet times

Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation member schools picked up nine state meet qualifying times on Saturday during the first KIF qualifying swim meet at the YMCA pool that is equipped with the necessary electronics to allow swimmers to clock official times for eligibility to the state meet.
