KIF swimmers make state meet times

Kaua‘i High senior Jacob Rich, heading home in the backstroke phase of the boys medley relay, finished Saturday’s Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation swim meet by qualifying times in three state-championship meet events, including the relay, 100-yard backstroke, and 400 freestyle relay, on Saturday at the YMCA pool in Puhi.

PUHI — Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation member schools picked up nine state meet qualifying times on Saturday during the first KIF qualifying swim meet at the YMCA pool that is equipped with the necessary electronics to allow swimmers to clock official times for eligibility to the state meet.
