Consorcia ‘Consing’ Bacalso Labez Estenzo
Consorcia “Consing” Bacalso Labez Estenzo of Kapaa passed away in Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital on Dec. 11, 2016, at the age of 93. She was born in Hanamaulu, Kauai on June 22, 1923, and retired as a Nurses Aide with Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital.
Preceded in death by her husband, Sotero Estenzo; siblings, Ricardo Labez, Salome Sarita, Rosario Patten.
Consorcia is survived by eight children, Rosa Dejos of Hanamaulu, Eleanor Estenzo of Kapaa, Nelson (Gloria) Estenzo of Kapaa, Walter (Virgie) Estenzo of Hanamaulu, Gerarldo “Larry” Estenzo of Kapaa, Feleilani (Boyd) Phillips of Lihue, Wilfredo (Tessie) Estenzo of Kapaa, Maria Cecilia Burns “Bebe” of Kapaa; 30 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016, at St. Catherine Church with viewing from 8 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Arsenia Legaspi Koerte
Arsenia Legaspi Koerte of Lihue passed away at Garden Isle Health Care on Nov. 14, 2016, at the age of 91. She was born in Penaranda Nueva, Ecija, Philippines on May 12, 1925, and retired from Kauai Surf as a Laundry Attendant.
Preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Koerte Sr., parents, Saturnino and Mamerta Legaspi and seven siblings.
Arsenia is survived by two daughters, Laverne (John Rego Jr.) Koerte, Gloria (Robert) Girald; three sons, Ernest (Carmen) Koerte Jr., Ralph (Rose) Koerte, Richard (Kathleen) Koerte; 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, Dec. 19, 2016, at Lihue Lutheran Church with a private family visitation from 9:30 a.m. Friends are invited to visit from 10 to 11 a.m. Services for the celebration of Arsenia’s life will begin at 11 a.m.

Myles Bernard Domingcil
Myles Bernard Domingcil of Eleele passed away at home on Dec. 8, 2016, at the age of 56. He was born in Waimea, Kauai on Jan. 31, 1960, and was employed as a Welder with Kauai Coffee Co.
Preceded in death by his father, Melicio Nacapoy Domingcil Sr. and brother, Mel “Bobo” Domingcil Jr.
Myles is survived by his wife, Eve Domingcil of Eleele; two daughters, Natalie (Brandon) Wilson of Seattle, Melissa (Joe) Cook of San Diego; two sons, Bo (Nani) Domingcil of Eleele, Aaron (Kyrie Simeona) Domingcil of Eleele; mother, Marlene Domingcil of Kaumakani; brother, Mark (Teri) Domingcil of Hanapepe; sister-in-law, Michelle Domingcil of Kapaa; 7 grandchildren, Ethan and Ozzy Wilson, Joshua and Ava Cook, Trent Domingcil, Hayden and Lily Domingcil; numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2016, at Holy Cross Church with viewing from 9 to 10 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Emma Villahermosa Jimenez of Kilauea passed away in the Philippines on Nov. 21, 2016, at the age of 71. She was born in Ilocos Sur, Philippines on Feb. 5, 1945, and retired as a Housekeeper with Princeville Hotel.
Preceded in death by her parents, Damaso and Juana Villahermosa Sr; brothers, Ernesto Villahermosa and Damaso Villahermosa Jr.
Emma is survived by her husband, Edwardo Jimenez Sr. of Kilauea; sons, Edgar (Lovella) Jimenez of Kapaa, Benjamin (Rose) Jimenez of Alaska, Edwardo Jimenez Jr. of the Philippines, Ronald (Zoya) Jimenez of Kilauea, Randy Jimenez of Arizona; 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; brothers, Arthur (Aida) Villahermosa of Philippines, Bonifacio (Juliana) Villahermosa of Philippines, Romeo (Agnes) Villahermosa of Alaska, Jovencio (Naty) Villahermosa of Philippines, Adrianao (Gliceria) Villahermosa of Philippines; sisters, Aida (Juan) Ruaburo of California, Alicia (Florencio) Ruaburo, Maria (Andres) Papagayo of Maui, Nora (Marino) Paguel, May (El) Llego of Alaska; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Deborah Lee Byrnes
Deborah Lee Byrnes passed away peacefully in her sleep on Dec. 14, 2016. Her Daughter Jane and Son Jeff were at her side. Deborah was married to Thomas Edward Byrnes for 42 years who passed away earlier this year.
Deborah was a long-time resident of Kauai and was actively involved with the Kapaa Missionary Church where she led bible studies for many years. Deborah and Tom came to Kauai 28 years ago and never looked back. Deborah said the best part about living on Kauai was the warm and open people who live here.
One of her wonderful traits was that she always had a smile on her face. She once said, “If you always smile people smile back”. She was a competitive bridge player and studied Hula. Deborah is survived by her daughter Jane, son Jeff, grandson Blake, and granddaughter Avalon.
Services for Deborah will held on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Kapaa Missionary Church located at 4-758 Kuhio Highway, Kapaa.

Vernon Cris Asuncion, 88 years old of Kilauea, Kauai passed away on Nov.25, 2016, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital.
Born on Nov. 24, 1928, in Puunene, Maui he was a retired grounds Keeper for Samuel Mahelona Hospital.
He is preceded in death by his parents Crisogono & Romana Asuncion, brothers Norman, Sid, Francisco, Frank, Filimino & Florando Asuncion & sister Loretta Abalos
