Ralley Ebinger
Ralley Nicolas Ebinger born in Kapaa, Hawaii on September 13, 1933. He passed away on May 8, 2014 at his home in Oceanside, CA. He retired from the construction industry.
Preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Josephine Ebinger; Father, Clarence Ebinger Sr.; Mother, Schendrina Ebinger; brothers, Michael Ebinger and Albert Soares.
He is survived by his sisters, Barbara L. Ebinger of Wailua Homesteads; Bessie Hendricks of Oahu; Daughter, Charlotte Foster, CA; son Ralley Ebinger Medina (Christina) of Hanamaulu; Grandchildren, Amber Wall of CA; Arnold Wall of CA; Alicia Medina of Hanamaulu; Tiffany Medina of Hanamaulu and Nicolas Medina of Hanamaulu. Numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services were held at the Miramar National Cemetery in California.
Joseph Perreira
Joseph “Sonny Boy” Perreira of Kalaheo, Kauai, Hawaii, passed away on May 9, 2014 at the age of 77. Born on September 4, 1936 in Makaweli, Kauai. He was a retired foreman with Kauai Electric.
Preceded in death by his Parents, Frank & Helen Perreira and brother, Butchie Perreira.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes Perreira, Kalaheo; Daughter, Momi (Marvin) Lum, Kapaa; Sons, Jay (Cheryl) Perreira, Lihue; Makaio (Roxanne) Perreira, Kilauea; Sisters, Diana Medeiros, Kalaheo; Muriel Perreira, Oregon; Brother, Bernard (Cecelia) Perreira, Kalaheo, 8 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of life will be held on Sunday May 25, 2014 at the Hanapepe Tennis Court Pavillion 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

She is survived by her husband, John M Frias III; her brother Richard (Marilyn) Medeiros; Children – Paul Yadao Sr, JoAnn Yadao, Larry (Tina) Yadao Sr., Angel Yadao Jr., Reuben Yadao, Melinda (Melvin) Gonsalves, Timothy Yadao, Sam (Jose) Yadao Sr., Shawn (Evelyn) Yadao Sr., Terri (Michael) Yadao Iida, Kelly Yadao, Dr. John M. (Kekuhi) Frias IV, Richard (Jennifer) Frias, Jeffery (Ronette), Lisa Aksionczyk. 50 Grandchildren, 56 Great Grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and relatives.

Norma Castillo
Norma Vega Castillo, 86 of Kapaa, Kauai, Hawaii. Passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2014 in Hilo, Hawaii at the Pohai Malama Hospice Facility. Born on September 22, 1927 in Lucena, The Province of Quezon, Philippines. She was a homemaker.
Preceded in Death by her husband Wallace Castillo.
She is survived by her: Seven Daughters; Zenaida (Richard) Sawyer of Hilo, Stephanie J. Castillo of Kapaa, Teresita Castillo of New York City, Deedee (Ivan) Ward of Vacaville, CA, Leslie (Garrett) Scales of Lawai, Patricia (Clifford) Furtado of Wailua, and Joanne (Peter) Brun of Koloa, Sharol Castillo (niece and hanai daughter) of Sacramento, California; Ami (Jan) Vergara (nephew and hanai son) of Largo, Florida; sister, Cely Vega of the Philippines; Sisters-in-law, Anita Castillo of Sacramento and Fely Vega of the Philippines; 17 Grandchildren, 38 Great-Grandchildren, 2 Great-Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Nancy Kobayashi
Nancy Sumako Katayama Kobayashi of Hanalei passed away on May 1, 2014 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 89. Born on November 1, 1924 in Hanalei, she was a retired taro farmer and business owner.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Y. Kobayashi and parents, Yosobei Katayama & Kiyoka Takenaka Takaki.
She is survived by her son, Glenn (Rumi) Ichiro Kobayashi of Hanalei and Joseph (Suzanne) N. Kobayashi of Koolau; daughters, Elizabeth “U`i” Ito of Kilauea, Catherine (Michael) S. Chang of Hilo, and Christine (Demetri Rivera) Y. Kobayashi of Hanalei; brothers, Donald Takaki of Waianae, Kenneth Takaki of Honolulu, and William Takaki of Honolulu; sisters, Geraldine Katayama of Honolulu and Kathleen Davis of Grand Junction, CO; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Christ Memorial Episcopal Church in Kilauea from 9:00 am. Service begins at 11:00. Burial will follow at Hanalei Nihonjin Kai Cemetery.

Thomas Moniz
Thomas William Moniz of Waianae, Oahu passed away at Pali Momi Medical Center on April 22, 2014 at the age of 76. He was born in Eleele, Kauai and he retired as a construction project superintendent.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Coen Moniz; three sons, Samuel Pasion, Joseph (Stacey) Pasion, Fred Pasion; four daughters, Sherry Moniz, Jessica Moniz, Anita (Adam, Jr.) Sagon, Jocelin (Manny) Sabir; brother, Timothy Moniz; two sisters, Carol (Sueo) Miyake, Lorraine (Bill) Bailey; 21 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, May 16, 21014 at Hosoi Garden Mortuary with visitation from 5:00 p.m. and service to begin at 6:00 p.m.
His inurnment will be held on Monday, May 19, 2014 at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at 11:30 a.m.

Robert Gonzales
Robert “Bob” Gonzales of Lacey, WA passed away on March 4, 2014 at Olympia, WA at the age of 65. Born on May 6, 1948 in Lihue, Hawaii he was an Assistant Program Manager for the State Department of Agriculture.
Preceded in death by his father, Robert G. Gonzales and sister, Christine Gonzales.
He is survived by his mother, Pauline Gonzales; wife, Henri Gonzales; Children, David (Karyn) Gonzales, Tyra (Manuel) Villafan, Kiana Gonzales, Jadn Gonzales; sisters, Beverly (Merle) Patnode, Marilyn (Mark) Music, Evelyn (Jim) Wasson, Clarice (Michael) Callejo and 6 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in memoriam of Robert Gonzales.
Services were held on March 8, 2014 in Lacey, WA.
Kazue Hiranaka
Kazue “Kay” Hiranaka of Lihue passed away in Wilcox Memorial Hospital on April 27, 2014, at the age of 101. She was born in Kilauea, Kauai on December 25, 1912, and was a dedicated homemaker.
Preceded in death by her husband, Wataru “Watson” Hiranaka.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Omori of California; son, Dennis (Karen) Hiranaka; 2 grandchildren; brother, Thomas Kurosaki of Lihue, sister, Mistuko (Fusetsu) Miyazaki of Eleele; numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held privately.
