Frances Sagadraca
Frances Tabag Sagadraca of Lihu‘e peacefully departed at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on November 10, 2011, at the age of 82. She was born in Pasuquin, Philippines, on April 2, 1929, and worked as a waitress for many years at Wailua Marina Restaurant, Spindrifter and Ono Family Restaurant.
She is survived by her husband, Hermogenes Sagadraca of Lihu‘e; son, Danny (Odette) Sagadraca of O‘ahu; 2 grandchildren, Sasha Sagadraca and Daniel Sagadraca, both of Arizona; brother, Eusebio Tabag; sister, Carmen Marcos both of the Philippines; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, Nov. 18, 2011, at The Kaua‘i War Memorial Convention Hall with visitation from 8:30 a.m. and services celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens.
Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Sagadraca family with arrangements.
Sandra Case
Sandra Lee Case of ‘Ele‘ele died on Nov. 10, 2011, at her home at the age of 69. She was born on Oct. 3, 1942, in Los Angeles, Calif.
She is survived by her husband, James Case; son, Dean Case of Woodland, California; daughter, Shanna Case Gallo of Phoenix, Arizona; four grandchildren; sister, Judy Jones of Ashland, Oregon; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 18, 2011, at the Hanapepe United Church of Christ; service officiated by Pastor Phyllis Meighen will begin at 3 p.m. Family request casual attire and that flowers be omitted.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary.
Alec Blackstad
Alec Sonny “Papa” Blackstad of Lawai, Kaua‘i passed away on Nov. 10, 2011, at the age of 93 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. Born in Waimea, Kaua‘i on Sept. 2, 1918, he was a telephone repairman with Hawai‘ian Tel.
He was preceded in death by baby Alisa Blackstad.
He is survived by wife, Agnes Blackstad; sons, Michael (Sharon) Blackstad; Ronald (Loretta) Blackstad; Payne “Leo” (Sybil) Blackstad; Gerald “Jack” (Amy) Blackstad; daughters, Alexa (Wayne) Samio; Aleta (Edwin Jr.) Fu; sisters, Florance “Tootsie” Kajiwara; Elaine “Lei” Kaukani; brothers, Robert Blackstad; Joseph (Mary) Blackstad; Stanley (Miki) Blakstad; grandchildren, Michele (Sean) Chong; Bill (Leo) Blackstad; Kevin (Adrianne) Blackstad; Kris Blackstad; Malia (Doug) Freitas; Kaleo (Val King) Caires; Brian (Enjo Rapozo-Hoskins) Perreira; Kyle (Wailana) Blackstad; Byrydan (Jana) Blackstad; Byron (Ilima Matsusaka) Perreira; Chantel Blackstad, Toni-Ann Samio; Moku (Kahale) Blackstad; Tyron (Tasha Kamanuwai) Samio; Tessa (Jeffrey Silva) Samio and Kekai (Leinaala Ahyo) Blackstad; 33 great-grandchildren; 10 hanai great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011, at Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary Chapel, Koloa. Visitation will be held at 9 a.m., service at 10:30 a.m. Family requests flowers to be omitted.

Diane Stys
Diane Marshall Stys, of Kailua, Kona, and also of Kilauea, Kaua‘i, died on Nov. 9, 2011, at her Kona residence at the age of 91. Born on Feb. 11, 1920, in Pomona, Calif., she was a homemaker.
She is survived by sons, Peter (Danna) Stys of Coos Bay, Oregon; Philip Stys of Kilauea, Kaua‘i; daughter, Juliana (Robert) Adams of Kailua Kona; six grandchildren and two nieces.
Private services will be held on Kaua‘i.
Arrangements made by Cremation Services of West Hawai‘i.

Sadamitsu
Hatsuko Sadamitsu of Lihu‘e died on Oct. 14, 2011, at Wilcox Hospital at the age of 94. Born on July 8, 1917, in Kealia, Kaua‘i, she was a housekeeper with Inter Island Resorts.
She is survived by her sons, Stanley (Ethel) Sadamitsu, Richard (Carol) Sadamitsu and Wayne (Jane) Sadamitsu all of Lihu‘e; daughters, Janice Sadamitsu of California and Sharon (Gary) Morita of Kalaheo; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Chieko Shimizu of Honolulu and Hisayo Hirokawa of Hanamaulu; brother-in-law, Masaichi Shibuya of Lihu‘e and sister-in-law, Fuyuko (Kazuki) Shimizu of Koloa.
Services were private. Family requests no koden.
