Harry Adachi
Harry Masaru Adachi of Lihu‘e died on Oct. 12, 2009, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 80. Born on Oct. 23, 1928, in Wailua, he retired from Aloha Airlines as a senior terminal agent.
He is survived by his wife Chieko; sons Dwayne Adachi and Corey (Sandy) Adachi of Lihu‘e; daughter Vonda (Lee) Funai of Aina Haina; brothers Bernard (Dorothy) Adachi of the Big Island and James (Florence) Adachi of Kaneohe; brother-in-law Jack Kaufmann of O‘ahu; sister-in-law Claire Adachi of O‘ahu; four grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation at 10 a.m., service at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Oct. 17, at Lihu‘e Baptist Church.
Casual attire is suggested and the family requests that flowers be omitted.
Arrangements are being handled by Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
Anthony Rapozo
Anthony Paul “Tonto” Rapozo of Kapa‘a died Oct. 8, 2009, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 41. He worked in golf maintenance at Kaua‘i Lagoons.
He was preceded in death by his parents Denis Rapozo and Carolina Delostrico Rapozo.
He is survived by his brother Glen Rapozo; sisters Natalie (Mick) Reiland, Brenda (John) Lee and Mary (Jesse) Kealoha.
Visitation from 9 to 10:45 a.m., Mass at 11:15 a.m., on Saturday, Oct. 17, at Saint Catherine’s Catholic Church in Kapa‘a. Burial to follow at St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Kealia.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary in Koloa.
