Noboru Miyakado
Noboru Miyakado of Kalaheo died Oct. 8, 2009, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 84. Born on Oct. 22, 1924, in Lawa‘i, he was an agriculture research and control analyst at the Experiment Department of McBryde Sugar Company.
He is survived by his wife Kuniko Miyakado, daughter Joyce (Michael) Wilt of New Hampshire and three grandchildren.
Services were private.

Mark James Buenconsejo of Mililani died Oct. 1, 2009, at Fred Huchinson Hospital at age 52. He was born on Sept. 19, 1957, in London, England.
He is survived by his wife Hilary Buenconsejo; children Erica Buenconsejo, Casey Buenconsejo and Kristen (Jay) Matthews; father Manuel Buenconsejo Sr.; stepmother Junette Buenconsejo; mother Jean Thorburn; brothers Michael Buenconsejo, Jr. Buenconsejo and Nolan Buenconsejo; sisters Janine (Kyle) Baird and Jolie (Bobby) Remington; grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation at 5 p.m., service at 6:30 p.m., on Saturday, Oct. 17, at Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel. Burial at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Oct. 19, at Mililani Memorial Park.
Casual attire is suggested and flowers are welcome.

Richard McCleery
Richard Harmon McCleery of Anahola died on Oct. 13, 2009, at his home at age 87. Born on Aug. 16, 1922, in New York, he was a retired professor.
He is survived by his wife Althea McCleery, son Robert (Sandra) McCleery, sisters Betty (Web) Deisher and Irene Corey, one granddaughter, numerous nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary.
Anthony Rapozo
Anthony Paul “Tonto” Rapozo of Kapa‘a died Oct. 8, 2009, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 41. He worked in golf maintenance at Kaua‘i Lagoons.
He was preceded in death by his parents Denis Rapozo and Carolina Delostrico Rapozo.
He is survived by his brother Glen Rapozo; sisters Natalie (Mick) Reiland, Brenda (John) Lee and Mary (Jesse) Kealoha.
Visitation from 9 to 10:45 a.m., Mass at 11:15 a.m., on Saturday, Oct. 17, at Saint Catherine’s Catholic Church in Kapa‘a. Burial to follow at St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Kealia.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary in Koloa.
Esther Heen
Esther “Essie” Marie Heen of Kilauea died Oct. 6, 2009, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 73. Born on Dec. 2, 1935, in Kilauea, she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her mother Martha (Alapai) Caculitan; brothers Ambrose Worthington and Paul Alapai; sisters Martha “Worthington” Ormord and Rose (Doiron) Ponimoi.
She is survived by her sons Temujine “Jin” Heen, Tai (Darcy) Heen of Kaua‘i, Pono (Napua) Heen and Harvey Heen; daughter Tandra Heen of O‘ahu; sisters Flora “Laie” Iseri, Miriam “Lahapa” (William) Texeira of Barrow, Ala., Frances “Leinaala” Kaneakua, Rosemary “Leialoha” Millarich of Barrow, Ala. and Lucille “Leimomi” Hew of Kaua‘i; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be at a later date.
