The Kapa‘a High School girls soccer team will open its bid for the Hawai‘i High School Athletic Association title, Wednesday against Mid Pacific.
According to a Monday afternoon update at the HHSAA Web site, the winner of the Kapa‘a/Mid Pacific game will advance to the quarterfinals against No. 4 Kamehameha-Hawai‘i in Division II.
Kapa‘a will face off against the Owls starting at 3 p.m., Wednesday at the Waipio Peninsula Soccer Park.
Kaua‘i High School, the Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation champions, drew the No. 2 seed for the division and will open play Thursday against the winner of the Seabury Hall/Honoka‘a matchup scheduled for 3 p.m. Wednesday.
Kaua‘i will play on Thursday starting at 3 p.m.
Top-seeded Kailua will face the winner of the St. Anthony/Radford matchup, and No. 3 seed Pac-Five will face the winner of the Waianae/Hawai‘i Prep contest.
Finals for the JN Automotive Group Girls Soccer State Championships Division II will start at 5 p.m., Saturday.
