Kimberly Ann Rapozo, 33, along with infant son Colin James Rapozo died Dec. 27, 2008, in Las Vegas, Nev. Kimberly was a forensic lab manager for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
They are survived by husband and father Jason Rapozo; parents and grandparents Wayne and Stephanie Rapozo; family members Anthony and Lucas Rapozo; great-grandparents Lucas and Daisy Rapozo; and numerous aunties, uncles and cousins.
A funeral Mass was held Jan. 6, 2009, at St. Liborius Catholic Church.
June Allbrandt
June Evelyn Allbrandt of Kapa‘a died Jan. 17, 2009, at age 85. Born May 8, 1923, in Wyoming, she retired as a special education teacher for the Denver Public Schools in Colorado.
She is survived by son James Allbrandt of Kapa‘a, brother Jay Watenpaugh of Colorado, grandson Benjamin Allbrandt of Kapa‘a and granddaughter Tara Allbrandt of Kapa‘a.
Private services will be held.

Edward Coan
Edward M. Coan of Lihu‘e died Jan. 18, 2009, at age 85. Born Jan. 25, 1923, in New York, he was a retired electrical engineer from RCA Service Company and Raytheon.
He is survived by wife Barbara Coan of Lihu‘e; sons Edward J. (Kiyoko) Coan of Wailua, Michael J. Coan of Sioux Falls, S.D.; daughters Alison (Keith) Dibble of Brooklin, Maine, Annette Coan of Yonkers, N.Y., and Susan Coan of Puhi; sister Sarah (Ernest) Acheson of York, Maine; and two grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, Jan. 26, at the Lihue Lutheran Church with visitation from 9 a.m. and services beginning at 10 a.m. Inurnment to follow at the Lihue Lutheran Church cemetery.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the Coan family with arrangements.
Helen Ellis
Helen K. “Bobbi” Ellis of Lihu‘e died Jan. 17, 2009, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 65. Born Sept. 6, 1943, in Lihu‘e, she was a retired executive secretary for the Kauai Surf, The Westin Kauai and Kauai Marriott.
She was preceded in death by parents Wayne and Helen Rice Ellis.
She is survived by brothers Wayne “Rick” Ellis, Michael (Stephanie) Ellis, one niece and three nephews.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 7, at Lihue Cemetery.

Eva Bukoski
Eva Bukoski of ‘Oma‘o died Jan. 19, 2009, at Hale Kupuna Heritage Home at age 94. Born Jan. 2, 1915, in Kalaheo, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by sons William P. (Stella) Bukoski Sr., Nolan (Laverne) Bukoski and Norman (Ordean) Bukoski; daughter Judith (Stanley) Moura; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brother Antone Souza; sisters Violet Bukoski, Flora Maher, Elizabeth Jones and Emily Herter; sisters-in-law Elizabeth (Frank) Bukoski, Hazel (Joseph) Bukoski; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 23, at St. Raphael’s Church in Koloa; Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. by Father Bizz. Burial to follow at St. Raphael’s Church Cemetery.

Myrtle Napoleon
Myrtle C. Napoleon of Waipouli died Jan. 9, 2009, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 81. Born in Lihu‘e, she was a laborer in the construction industry.
She was preceded in death by husband Frank Napoleon; son-in-law Tom Harper and sister-in-law Mercy Contrades.
She is survived by daughter Healani “Lovey” Harper; sons Lester (Richard) Contrades, Frank (Jennifer) Napoleon and Napela (Beverly) Napoleon; brothers Peter (Anita) Contrades, Ervin Contrades, Wademar (Patsy) Contrades, Daniel (Chic) Contrades, Joseph (Pinky) Contrades; sisters Imogene (John) Richards, Alicia (Tony) Fernandez; 12 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, Jan. 24, at Lihue First Hawaiian Church. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.; services to follow.
