Dennis Soto
Dennis “Sarge” Soto died Dec. 11, 2008, at Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital.
Born on April 28, 1950, on Kaua‘i, he was an equipment operator with Kekaha Sugar Company.
Preceeded in death by parents Albert and Lovina Soto; brothers Bobby Rita and Ralph Soto; grandchildren David Soto-Perez and Skye Tyler-Soto; brother-in-law “Bla” Lazaro.
Survived by wife Ginny Soto; son Dennis Boy (Nalii) Soto; daughters LaVerne (Raymond) Soto, DeLissa (Maki-Boy) Soto; grandchildren Makani, Chaydee and Kekoa; brothers Tommy (Lyn) Rita, Albert Soto, Mervin (Cindy) Soto; sisters Hilda (Antone) Lazaro; Cecelia Lazaro; sisters-in-law Bernie Soto, Peggy Rita; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held at Hanapepe tennis court pavillion at 1 p.m. Dec. 20.
Come as you are, work clothes and all.

Louis Hanohano
Louis Hanohano died on Nov. 18, 2008, at Hale Makua, Kahalui, Maui, at the age of 95.
Born on Aug. 3, 1913, in Lawai, Kaua‘i, he was a retired industrial mechanic and a licensed minister.
Preceeded in death by wife Joyce Nakamura Hanohano.
Survived by daughters Vivian (Jacob) Kamibayashi of Wailuku, Maui, Maude (John) Cumming of Pukalani, Maui; sons Daniel of Sacramento, Calif., Nathan (Deby) of Antioch, Calif., Kenneth of Pukalani, Maui, hanai daughter Elli (Pulou) Kirifi of Kihei, Maui; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at the Kapa‘a Assembly of God Church from 1:30 p.m. (no viewing) with a memorial service to follow at 2 p.m. on Dec. 21.
Funeral services were previously held at King’s Cathedral on Maui with burial at Valley Isle Memorial Park in Haiku.
Arrangements were handled by Borthwick Maui Mortuary.
Mary Keliihelleua
Mary Ann Keliihelleua died on Dec. 14, 2008, at the Garden Isle Healthcare Center at the age of 90.
Born on Feb. 23 1918, she was a retired waitress.
Survived by son Victor (Carmen) Dubray Jr.; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
Private services will be held for the family.

George Crossland
George O. Crossland died on Nov. 25, 2008, at Cameron Memorial Hospital, Angola, In., at the age of 94.
Born on Nov. 20, 1914, he was an international sales manager.
Preceeded in death by his parents George O. and Fannie B. (Drenning) Crossland.
Survived by wife Marcena Crossland of Angola, Ind.; son George O. (Gertrudes) Crossland of Los Angeles, Calif.; daughter Naida (Gerry) Garrett of Boonville, Mo.
Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Dec. 7, at Cameron Woods, Angola, Ind.
Arrangements were made by Weicht Funeral Home, Angola, Ind.
Dorothy Perreira
Dorothy J. Perreira died at her San Lorenzo home on Dec. 12, 2008 at the age of 85.
Born in Pakala, Kaua‘i, on Nov. 4, 1923.
Preceeded in death by husband Antone Perreira.
Survived by children Linda Perreira, Timothy Perreira, Robert Perreira; sisters Hilda Perry, Janie Roach; grandchildren Antone, Peter, Ryan and Jessica; great-grandchildren Zarek and Alyssa; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and cherished friends.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Dec. 18, at Grissom’s Chapel and Mortuary, San Lorenzo. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Dec. 19, at St. John’s Catholic Church, San Lorenzo. Burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Donations may be made in Dorothy’s memory to the American Heart Association.
LLoyd Pelarin Albinio Jr.
Lloyd Pelarin Albinio Jr. of Kapa‘a died on Dec. 11, 2008, at the age of 30.
Born in Honolulu on Sept. 9, 1978, he was a landscaper.
Preceeded in death by grandfather James W. Wilson Sr. and step-father Bruce G. O’Donnell.
Survived by father Lloyd Albinio Sr.; mother Joni O’Donnell; son Lloyd Keanu Albinio, daughter Leilani Lynn Albinio; brothers Lloyd N. Albinio, Lloyd J. K. Albinio; maternal grandmother Betty Wilson; numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held and visitation from 1:30 p.m. with services to begin at 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 31, at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Kapa‘a. Aloha attire suggested. Family graciously declines flowers.
Inurnment will be private.
Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Albino family with arrangements.
