Janessa Grady was the only Kaua‘i girl named to an all-tournament first team on Maui this weekend.
Grady is a member of the Kaua‘i High School Girls Varsity basketball team which participated in the Seabury Hall 14th annual Wahine Classic Basketball Tournament over the weekend on Maui.
According to a press release from Kaua‘i coach Russell Grady, the pre-season tournament consisted of eight teams.
King Kekaulike handed the Red Raider girls an opening loss, 51-37, but Kaua‘i rebounded to beat Ka‘u High School from the Big Island, 48-32.
Kapa‘a handed Kaua‘i its final loss of the tournament, 54-41.
Joining Grady were Yacine Meyer of Seabury Hall, Mykel Love of King Kekaulike, Chynna Ramelb and Jazmine Corpuz, both of Maui High.
