The Kaua‘i High School baseball team, the first to bring home a state baseball championship, is recognized and honored for its achievement during a special year-end banquet hosted by the team’s parents and boosters. Kaua‘i Mayor Bryan Baptiste was on hand to congratulate the team and Ron Kouchi, at far left, served as one of the emcees at the event, yesterday afternoon at the War Memorial Convention Hall. The Kaua‘i team earned the Division II state title earlier in the month with a 1-0 defeat over St. Anthony’s of Maui at the HHSAA finals on O‘ahu.
