The Ha‘aheo Boys and the Westside Falcons battled to a 0-0 stalemate in the BU8 division of the Kaua‘i Soccer Association league Saturday.
That battle left the BU8 standings unchanged except for the points. Entering the contest, the Westside Falcons controls the lead with a 4-2-3 record and 15 points, closely pursued by the Ha‘aheo Boys with a 3-3-3 record and a dozen points.
The Westside Pride, enjoying a bye over the weekend, rounds out the standings at 1-3-4 and 7 points.
A 2-1 win over the Kapa‘a Blaze Gold keeps the Ha‘aheo Teeny Wahine undefeated in the GU8 division with a 9-0 record and 27 points.
With the loss, the Kapa‘a Blaze Gold drops to a tie for third place in the division with the Kapa‘a Blaze Diamond which was a 2-0 winner over the Westside Falcons. The Gold sits at 3-6-0 and 9 points while the Diamond has a 3-5-0 record for 9 points.
The Southside Lunachicks, enjoying a weekend bye, sits at second place in the GU8 division with a 6-2-0 record and 18 points while the Westside Falcons is seeking its first win at 0-8.
The Westside Falcon 9 grayshirts shut down Team Motiv-8, 5-0 to retain the lead in the BU10 division on a 6-1-1 record and 19 points. The Kilauea Kilas, a 3-0 winner over the Lightning Sharks, improves to 5-2-1 and 16 points for second place, overtaking the Westside Falcons 10, getting a bye for the weekend, and dropping to third place with a 5-2-0 record and 15 points.
With the loss, the Sharks drops to 2-5-0 and 6 points for fourth place followed by Team Motiv-8 looking for a “W” at 0-8.
Hokulele shut down Real Waimea 3-0 to remain undefeated in the GU10 division. They hold a 9-0 record and 27 points while Real Waimea drops to 1-8 and 3 points.
Kaua‘i Sparks edged the Kaua‘i Kickers, 1-1 to force a tie for second place with the Kickers and the Sparks holding 4-5-0 records and a dozen points for each team.
After getting past the Northshore Arsenal 2-0, the Westside Falcons continues to hold the lead of the BU12 division with a 7-1-0 record and 21 points.
The loss by the Arsenal drops them to a 6-2-0 record and 18 points for a solid second-place showing.
The Lihu‘e Scrapas broke into the win column with a 2-0 edge over the Team Motiv-8, and with the win, forces a tie for third place in the BU12 division with both teams boasting 1-6-1 records and 4 points apiece.
The KSC-Blazing Angels, handing the Hawaiian Heat its first loss last week, continued to control the GU12 division with a 6-0 win over the Northshore Chargers.
The win gives the Angels a 6-0-2 record and 20 points while the Chargers drops to 0-6-1 and a point.
Hawaiian Heat had a chance to recuperate from its double-header last week and sits in second place of the division with a 5-1-1 record and 16 points.
Hokulele was a 5-0 winner over the East Side Crew and sits at third place in the division with a 4-3-1 record and 13 points while the Crew is 1-6-1 and 4 points.
The Westside United took a 3-2 edge over the Eastside Lightning in the BU14 division and controls the lead at 7-0-1 and 22 points while the Lightning drops to 3-2-3 and a dozen points for second place.
The GIFC-Cougars, enjoying the bye this weekend, holds third place in the division with 3-3-2 and 11 points followed by the Northshore Spartans who dropped a 2-0 match to the Eastside Galaxy.
Despite the loss, the Spartans is at 2-6-0 and 6 points while the Galaxy, enjoying its first win, improve to 1-5-2 and 5 points.
The GU14 teams all enjoyed byes this weekend due to a state cup off-island.
In the GU18 division, the Eastside Fusion was a 4-3 winner over the GIFC-East.
But that could not usurp the East from its first place in the GU18 division.
GIFC-East drops to 4-3-1 and 13 points while the Eastside Fusion improves to 3-4-1 and 10 points.
Games continue Saturday at the North Vidinha soccer fields starting at 8:30 a.m.
