William Henry Blair
William Henry “Billy” Blair died on Kaua‘i on Nov. 3, 2006, at the age of 25.
Billy was born on Sept. 29, 1981 in Santa Rosa, Calif. He moved to Kaua‘i to work in the family theatre business and to attend school. He had set the goal of getting his master’s degree in business. Billy loved his family, movies, baseball, basketball, golf and going to the beach with his love Genoa Keliinoi.
Preceded in death by his grandfather Willliam Blair, he is survived by his parents Colleen and Bill Blair; his grandparents Marlene Blair, and Alex and Ellen Amador of Napa; his brothers Sean Blair of Sacramento and Brooks-Harmon Blair of Santa Rosa; aunts and uncles Sharon Blair, Matthew Blair, Stacey Willis, Nicole Blair, Chad Blair, Carrie Ferneau, Connie Reifers, and Cynthia Amador; and numerous cousins.
A Funeral Mass celebrating his life was held on Nov. 13, at St. Rose Catholic Church, Santa Rosa, Calif., with burial at Santa Rosa Memorial Park.
In Billy’s memory, memorial donations may be made to the Tourette Syndrome Association Research Division, 42-40 Bell Blvd., Bayside, NY 11361.
Arrangements were handled by the Daniels Chapel of the Roses Funeral and Cremation Services in Santa Rosa, Calif.
Denji Murayama
Denji Murayama of Niumalu died Nov. 13, 2006, at his home at the age of 87.
Born March 7, 1919, in Hule‘ia, he was a retired fireman.
Preceded in death by his daughter, Rosetia Murayama, he is survived by his wife Masako Murayama of Niumalu; two sons: Calvin (Mary) Murayama of Texas and Alan (Diane) Murayama of Honolulu; daughter Jeanette Lopez of Niumalu; sister Lily Morinaka; grandchildren: Robin, Francis, Shanlyn, Boyd, Conrad, Miles, Nathan, and Calvin; great grandchildren: Bryce, Justin, Kekoa, Joshua, Ashley, Makena, Keira and Koa; nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 20, at Borthwick Mortuary Chapel in Koloa where services will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Lihu‘e Cemetery.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
Lowell Mineo Nishida
Lowell Mineo Nishida of Honolulu died at his home on Oct. 3, 2006, at the age of 52.
Born Aug. 22, 1954, in Lihu‘e, he was a printer and service technician.
Preceded in death by his parents James and Minnie Nishida, he is survived by daughter aida Nishida; two brothers, James (Kimberlin) Nishida Jr. and Nelson (Ruth) Nishida; sister Naomi Nishida; one niece, one aunt and numerous cousins.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, at Hawaiian Memorial Park Koolau Circle in Kaneohe. Inurnment to follow.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
