John Silva Sr. of Kalaheo, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on June 18, 2005, at the age of 96.
Born in Makaweli on May 29, 1909, he was a service technician with Gay & Robinson.
He is survived by his wife: Ethel; five sons: John Jr. (Irene) Silva of Mililani, O‘ahu, Walter (Jasmine) Silva of Kapa‘a, Franklin (Bernie) Silva of Makaweli, Roy (Wene) Silva of Kamuela, Hawai‘i, and Richard (Laurena “Tito”) Silva of Kalaheo; 16 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great grandchildren.
Private services will be held. Friends may join the family at the scattering of ashes at noon on Friday, June 24, at the Pakala Landing also known as the Itakura Landing.
