Linda Ka‘aumoana Texeira
Linda Ka‘aumoana Texeira of Kilauea died May 11, 2005, in Honolulu, at the age of 46.
Born Nov. 26, 1958, in Hawai‘i, she was a kitchen helper with Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School.
She is survived by her husband: Anthony Texeira of Kilauea; five children: Leina (Kimo) Enrique of Indiana, Shawlin Texeira of Kilauea, Noah Texeira of Kilauea, Alexander Texeira of Kilauea, Anthony Texeira, Jr. of Kilauea; father: David (Nanette) Ka‘aumoana of Honolulu; mother and father-in-law: Anthony (Cecilia) Texeira of Kapahi; four sisters: Merla Kaaumoana of Kekaha, Doreen Soares of Kilauea, Tammy (Ronald) Contrades of Kapa‘a, Dorothy Pakieten of Michigan; three brothers: Timothy E. Pakieten of Honolulu, Daniel Pakieten of Michigan, and Michael Pakieten of Texas and one grandchild, Sierra Enrique.
Friends may visit with the family from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, at St. Catherine’s Church where Memorial Mass wil be celebrated at 11 a.m.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
Rebbecca Lynn Chow
Rebbecca Lynn Chow of Koloa died at home on May 17, 2005, at the age of 49.
Born in Dallas, Texas on May 22, 1955, she was a dedicated homemaker.
She is survived by her husband Kelvin Chow, daughter; Cressie Chow, son; Jacob Chow, all of Koloa, parents; Donald & Patricia Ragsdale of Arizona, two brothers; Donald (Carla) Ragsdale of Utah, Larry (Tammy) Ragsdale of Arizona, and two granddaughters, Kayla & Kierra Chow.
Services will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2005 at Lawai Seventh Day Adventist Church with viewing from 11 a.m. Services will begin at 12 noon. Burial will follow at the Lihue Public Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
Manuel Parraga
Manuel Parraga of Kalaheo, died May 16, 2005, at Hale Kupuna, at the age of 89.
Born Nov. 24, 1915, in Hawai‘i, he was a country truck driver.
He is survived by his wife: Isabel Parraga of Kalaheo and one daughter: Dr. Isabel Parraga of Ohio.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., on Tuesday, May 24, at Holy Cross Church in Kalaheo where services wil be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Church Cemetery.

James Lewis Thom
James Lewis Thom of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, died April 19, 2005, at St. Paul’s Hospital at the age of 83.
Born in Paterson, NJ, in 1921, he is survived by his wife Martine and sons Colin and Graeme, from a previous marriage. He was past president of Montreal Shipping Inc. and Alderman of the City of Westmount, Quebec. He also held positions of responsibility in shipping and international trade organizations. In 1988 James began to spend his winters on Kaua‘i where he enjoyed his retirement among his friends at Po‘ipu Crater and on Po‘ipu Bay golf course. A private family service was held April 22nd in Vancouver. Arrangements were handled by Forest Lawn Funeral.
