Quite a remarkable run for the University of Hawai‘i Rainbow Wahine volleyball squad who head to their seventh-straight NCAA regional on Friday against Wisconsin.
The match starts at 3 p.m. Hawai‘i time and OC-16 will televise the contest.
UH (30-0), ranked No. 2 in the country takes on the No. 22 ranked Badgers (22-9) at the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisc.
Wisconsin comes into the regional as the No. 14 seed in the tournament. The Badgers swept through both Loyola (Ill.) and Notre Dame in the first and second rounds to earn the regional bid. The series between Hawai‘i and Wisconsin is tied 1-1.
The Rainbow Wahine beat the Badgers in three games in the 1993 NCAA Tournament, while Wisconsin defeated UH in three in the 2001 NACWAA Preseason Tournament.
If UH beats Wisconsin on Friday, then they will face the winner of Stanford/Texas on Saturday at 11 a.m., Hawai‘i time.
The NCAA Regional Final will be televised on CSTV nationwide.
