Annual keiki fun run coming up

The annual keiki fun run will hold their 22nd one-mile and two-mile race on Saturday, January 15 at Kilohana grounds at 8 a.m.
Sponsored by the East Kaua‘i Men’s Club and the YMCA of Kaua‘i. Children as young as two up to age 16 have returned each year to become a part of the only race on Kaua‘i for young runners. Each child receives a t-shirt, refreshments, and a sport prize. There is a drawing for two bicycles. Registration blanks will be mailed to all who participated in past years and local schools will have applications at their school office. The YMCA of Kaua‘i phone number is 246-9090 and will mail out applications to those who call.
YMCA roller hockey registration
The YMCA of Kauai Roller Hockey League announces start of registration for the upcoming 2005 season. Boys and girls ages 6 to 17 are welcome to participate, with or without experience. Games will be held at the rink at the County of Kauai Kapaa Ballpark on Friday nights and Sunday afternoons from February through April. Cost is $30, and for late registration after December 31, 2004, $40. Call 245-3358 for information and a registration form.
Kaiola recruiting for Na Opio program
Kaiola Canoe Club’s Na Opio (youth) program is recruiting students (ages 10-18) interested in paddling outrigger canoes. Experienced and non-experienced students can register Mondays and Wednesdays at the Niumalu Park at the canoe hale. Practices are also held on those days between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. For more information, please call 651-2996.
Lihu‘e baseball registration
The Lihu‘e Baseball League is having Pinto Registration from Monday, Nov. 29 to Friday, Dec. 3 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Lihu‘e County Park. This is for youths 7-9 years of age. Please bring a copy of Birth Certificate and Medical Insurance Card. Please call Wayne 245-9110 or Warren 245-3251 for any questions. Also, they are seeking coaching positions for Pinto, Mustang, Bronco, and Pony Divisions and applications will also be available at registration time.
Hanapepe Youth Baseball Association

KSA coaches meeting
An important meeting for all current and new coaches planning to put a team, or teams, together for the Kaua‘i Soccer Association’s (KSA) 2005 Spring Season will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 7. The meeting will start at 7 p.m. at the Lihu‘e Neighborhood Center. Coaches packets will be explained and distributed at this meeting. For more information, please call Kevin Devitt at 645-1987.
GIRA Christmas party changed
The new location is Lydgate Park in Wailua, and the date has been changed to Sunday Dec. 5 from 2 p.m. until dark.
