Here are the final standings for the Kaua‘i Pop Warner Football League
Junior Pee Wee Division
The Koloa Packers are first in their division; the Koloa Packers were last year’s Regional Divisional State Champions and rated number three in the Nation. Congratulations to the Koloa Association and to Head coach Cory Aguano and his staff for this accomplishment.
Pee Wee Division
The Lihu’e Patriots (PW) team coached by Mario Longboy were undefeated and the first place division winners. Congrats go out to Coach Longboy’s staff and team for their undefeated season, this team went 8-0. Congratulations also go out to the Lihu’e Pop Warner Association for the great season.
Midget Division
The Lihu‘e Patriots (M) were the co-champions for this division along with the Hanapepe Colts (M) who both ended the season with 7-2-1 records. Both teams finished strong in the end, congratulations to both associations for their great finishes. Congratulations to Coach Jon Takamura’s coaching staff for their winning season; we also want to say congratulations to Coach Glenn Gaspar and his coaching staff for a fine job this year. We would also like to say congratulations to the Kapa’a Eagles Junior Pee Wee team that finished the season tied for second place with the Hanapepe Colts; both teams finished with 12 points for the season.
In the Pee Wee Division, Lihu’e finished in first place, the Koloa “Westside” Rams placed second followed by the Northshore Na Ali‘i and the Kapa’a Eagles. All teams had a great finish. Congratulations to all the associations and the coaching staffs.
In the midget division the Koloa Raiders took second place followed by the Kekaha Chargers in third place followed by the Kapa’a Eagles and the Northshore Na Ali‘i. Congratulations to all the teams in this division, their staffs and the players.
This year the bid for the National/Regional playoffs was in this division and the Hanapepe Colts will be the representative from Kaua’i that will play in the regional game on O’ahu against the O’ahu PW representative, the winner of this game will advance to Orlando Florida for the Championship game.
There will be Bowl games played this Saturday, November 27 at the Hanapepe Stadium. Teams from O‘ahu and the Big Island will be hosted by Kapa’a and Koloa teams at Hanapepe Stadium. Game times are 9 a.m., junior pee wee game, 11 a.m. for the first pee wee game and 1 p.m. for the second pee wee game. The last game will be a midget game at 3 p.m.
