Games played on Sunday, November 21, 2004 saw the Kolo’a PW Association play host to the Lihu’e PW Association.
First game of the day was played between the Eagles (JPW) and the Na Ali‘i (JPW).
Kapa’a Eagles’ Brentten Rapozo scored on a 5 yard run with :51 seconds left on the clock in the first quarter. P.A.T by Bronson Aiwohi #10 was good and the score was now Eagles (JPW)-8 Na Ali‘i (0). The next score was by Kaulana Kaui #42 of the Eagles, his run went for 39 yards, attempt to kick was muffed and the ball was run into the end zone for the point after. Score was now Eagles (JPW)-1 5 and Na Ali’i (JPW)-O.
On a pass from quarterback #3 Brentten Rapozo to #84 Seth Launder, Kapa’a Eagles (JPW) score on a 12 yard pass play, the P.A.T. failed and the score was Kapa’a Eagles (JPW)-21, Na Ali’i (JPW)-O.
The next score was on a 27 yard interception by #22 of the Eagles, Keane Agoot, the P.A.T. failed and the score was Kapa’a Eagles (JPW)-27, Na Ali’i (JPW)-O. The second quarter saw Kapa’a score again this time on a 2 yard run with 2:06 on the clock. Score was now Kapa’a Eagles (JPW)-33, Na Ali’i (JPW)-O
The remainder of the game was a running clock and Na Ali’is #33 Rajan Baliaris played a hard defensive game and was the work horse for Na Ali’i.
Quarterback Norman Soloman make several attempts at running and passing the ball. Ranson Camat #2 played a hard defensive game and was also a “spark plug” on offense.
Although the season has ended for the Na Ali’i’s their season was a hard fought one. The Kapa’a Eagles (JPW) ended the season on a high note.
The next game pitted the Kapa’a Eagles (PW) against the Northshore Na Ali’l (PW).
The Kapa’a Eagles (PW) scored on a 2 yard run by #20 Darren Taylor with 3:51 on the clock in the second quarter, the P.A.T. by # 18, Matt Milbrand was good on a run, score now Kapa’a Eagles (PW)-O and Na Ali’i (PW)-7.
The Kapa’a Eagles (PW) scored on a pass play from #12 Keanu Estenzo quarterback to #21 Weston Moniz, 8 yard pass with :48 seconds on the clock in the second half. The P.A.T. failed, score was now Kapa’a Eagles (PW)-6 and Northshore Na Ali’i (PW)-7.
The second half of the game was a defensive battle; both teams drove the ball into the red zone, but failed to punch the ball into the end zone. The game would end with that score.
The third game of the day was between the midget teams of the Northshore Na Ali’i and the Kapa’a Eagles.
First score of the game came when Quarterback Bryston Rapozo #3 scored on a three yard run with 5: 10 on the clock in the first quarter, the P.A.T. failed and the score stood, Kapa’a Eagles (M)-6, Northshore Na Ali’i (M)-O.
The second score was made by Brandon Chong #22 who went into the end zone from 6 yards out for the score, and the P.A.T. failed making the score Kapa’a Eagles (M)- 12 and Na Ali’i (M)-O.
With :58 seconds left on the clock in the third quarter, Kaipo Contrades, #55 took the ball and “raced” 66 yards for the score. The P.A.T. failed and the score stood at Na Ali’i (M)-6 and Kapa’a Eagles (M)-12.
In the fourth quarter both teams played a tough defensive game. With 5:03 on the clock in the fourth quarter, Kaipo Contrades #55 broke free again this time he rambled for 46 yards and a score, the P.A.T. on a run failed, and the score was now, Na Ali’i (M)- 12 and the Kapa’a Eagles (M)- 12, we had a tie ball game in the final quarter of play.
The next game was between the Hanapepe Colts (M) and Kekaha Chargers, this game has play off implications both teams are in contention for the Division II playoffs which will be against a team from O’ahu.
The first score of this slug fest came on a pass from #8 James Delos-Reyes to #43 Ronnel Constantino, pass was good for 12 yards, the P.A.T by James Delos-Reyes #8 was also good and the score was now Hanapepe Colts (M)-8 and Kekaha Chargers-0.
Scoring on a one yard run was #2 Alan-Michael Gaspar, P.A.T was good by #8 James Delos-Reyes, score stood at Hanapepe Colts (M)-16 Kekaha Chargers-0. This score came with 25 seconds on the clock in the second quarter.
The Hanapep’e Colts (M) scored again in the beginning of the third quarter when James Delos-Reyes #8, broke free and rambled 61 yards and a touchdown. The P.A.T by Alan Michael Gaspar #2 was good and the score was now Hanapepe Colts (M)-24 and Kekaha Chargers-0. This score came with 9:25 on the game clock in the third quarter.
With 2:02 on the clock in the third quarter, Hanapepe Colts (M), Alan-Michael Gaspar #2 rolled out to the left and hit Ronnel Constantino #43 on a 56 yard pass and the score, the P.A.T. by #2 Gaspar, failed, score was now Hanapepe Colts (M)-30 and the Kekaha Chargers-0. At this point the game clock became a running clock.
The Kekaha Chargers scored on a one yard dive by Max Agor #7, with 1:41 on the game
clock in the fourth quarter. The P.A.T. by Bully Pancho #56 was good and the score was Hanapepe Colts (M)-30 and the Kekaha Chargers-8.
The final game of the day was a Junior Pee wee game between the Hanapep’e Colts (JPW) and the Kekaha Panthers (JPW).
The Hanapep’e Colts (JPW) scored first when Clifton Callejo #8 took the ball and raced 60 yards for the score, this score came with 9:12 on the clock in the first quarter.
The P.A.T was blocked and the score was Hanapepe Colts (JPW)-6, Kekaha Panthers-0. Kekaha took over after the kick-off and had a series of offensive plays but turned the ball over on downs.
A interception by #61 of the Kekaha Panthers stopped Hanapepe’s drive to the end zone in the first quarter of play. After one quarter of play the score remained Hanapepe Colts (JPW)-6 and the Kekaha Panthers-0.

During the third quarter the ball changed sides with both teams putting on a defensive game. Another score came on a 30 yard run by #8 Clifton Callejo who took the ball and raced into the end zone, the P.A.T. by Dallas Correa #14 was good and the score was now Hanapepe Colts (JPW)-14 and the Kekaha Panthers-0. This score came with 2:10 on the game clock in the third quarter.
With 1:07 on the clock in the fourth quarter, #88 Tresen Lacaden-Bisarra took the ball and scooted 20 yards for the score, the P.A.T. failed and the score was now Hanapep’e Colts (JPW)-14 and the Kekaha Panthers-6. As the clock continued to run the Colts attempted to score again, but they were stopped and the clock had run out on the Kekaha Panthers.
Games for this Sunday are between the Koloa Association and the Lihu’e Association the first game of the day is between the Kolo’a Packers and the Lihu’e Patriots (JPW).
The Sunday games were played under clear sunny skies at the Hanapepe Stadium. The first half of this game ended in a scoreless tie, both sides of the ball had a lot of defensive snaps. The smaller “guys” played their fair share of first half.
Teams went into the locker room at halftime tied. The second half would prove to be a good match between these teams.
The first score came with 4:30 on the clock in the third quarter on a pass play from #11 Isaac Tehero, quarterback to #80 Michael Morris-Nix, that play went for 17 yards and the score. The P.A.T. failed and the score was now Kolo’a Packers-6 and the Lihu’e Patriots (JPW)-O.
The next score came bn a 9 yard run by #8 Tanner Rivera, and the P.A.T failed making the score, Kolo’a Packers- 12 and the Lihu’e Patriots (JPW)-O. This score came with 4:05 on the clock in the fourth quarter. Lihu’e Patriots (JPW) took the ball and attempted to make something happen.
Next game was between the Koloa “Westside” Rams and the Lihu’e Patriots (PW). This was a game between the first and second place teams.
The first score of the game came on a pass interception by Canaan Bernard #33 of the Lihu’e Patriots (PW), who took the ball and rambled 59 yards for the score.
The P.A.T. by Kalen Kimura #81 was good and the score was Lihu’e Patriots (PW)-8 and the Kolo’a Rams-0.
The score came with 5:00 minutes on the game clock in the first quarter.
