The Waimea High School girls and the Kaua‘i High School boys both picked up wins this past Saturday at Lihu‘e Lanes to remain undefeated in KIF bowling.
Jenni Ueno of Waimea scorched the lanes for the overall high point total for the girls with a 562, which included a game of 214.
Waimea’s Kekoa Masuda bowled three games of 200 or more on his way to the top boys score of 627.
Besides Ueno, the Menehune girls were led by Desiree Vea (471), Syanne Sagawa (467), and Sharla Shimono (291).
Meanwhile the Red Raider boys were paced by Cedric Macadangdang (584), Jesse Duarte (542), Travis Fontanilla (356), and John Louis Vento (314).
The Red Raider boys and Waimea girls both came away with eight points a piece.
The Waimea boys finished second with three points and the Kapa‘a boys were able to pick up a point. The Kaua‘i girls got four points and the Kapa‘a girls were unable to get on the scoreboard.
Meiling Keopuhiwa led the Kaua‘i girls (479), followed by Tiare Wade (461), Sarah Duterte (455), and Jenna Yamamoto (244).
For the Kapa‘a girls, Kelli Cacal (447), Donica Abalos (434), Ranelle Jacinto (395), and Andrea Boyd (378).
Ryan Kunselman (418), Anthony Baptiste (323), Jeffery Kakuda (316), and Chris Aguilar (283) led the way for the Waimea boys.
Kapa‘a’s top scorers included, Bernard Yadao (555), Wesley Abalos (496), Junnel Capito (492), and Ian Abihai-Honda (417).
KIF bowling action continues this Saturday, 1 p.m. at Lihu‘e Lanes.
