Russell’s total score of 241 were followed by a pair of Yamamoto’s, Brandon at 236 and Harrison at 230. Marc Shibata (227) and Kendall Kusaka (219) were also able to attain scores over the 200 mark.
Waimea’s standouts included Brian Martin with a total of 253, Kori Sakahashi, who shot a 241, Chris Aguilar at 227, and Jesse “The boi of joy” Choi with a 205.
The Waimea girls were victorious over the Red Raiders by a score of 1183-1093.
Sheila Ramos led the Menehune charge by shooting a 251, which was the top score overall for the girls. All the Waimea girls were able to shoot over 200, which was the key to their win.
Following Ramos, Mitzi Seto got a score of 243, Sharla Shimono shot a 235, Ashley Shimono with a 233, Chantelle Briones (221), Erma Agmata (201), and Kelly Joyce (211).
The top Red Raider girls were Terra Bell at 236, Ka‘iulani Sheldon with a 229, Charissa Riofta at 216, and Liane Muraoka and Robyn Serquina both got scores of 206. Check out the complete results of the matches in the scoreboard on page B2.
The next KIF air riflery match is on October 7 with Kaua‘i traveling to Kapa‘a and Waimea facing Island/Kula in Puhi. Both matches start at 3 p.m.
