James B. Griffith
James B. Griffith of Auburn, Calif., died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on July 27, 2004 at the age of 81.
Born in Muscatine, Iowa on Mar. 23, 1923, he was the senior vice president with Security Pacific Bank.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret of Auburn, CA.; son, James Griffith of San Diego, CA.; daughter, Linda Ballantine of Lihu‘e; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 31, at the Lihue Lutheran Church with Pastor Diane Martinson-Koyama officiating.
Casual attire is suggested; in lieu of flowers, donations maybe made to Kauai Hospice.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.

Teddy L. Ellamar of Hanapepe, died at Straub Clinic & Hospital on July 23, 2004, at the age of 45.
Born in Lihu‘e, on Feb. 16, 1959, he was the Body Shop Manager with Mid-Pac Auto Center.
Preceded in death by his father, Frederico Ellamar, and grandmother, Imi Kaiawe, he is survived by his wife, Jeannette “Jen” Ellamar; son, Joseph (Pollen) Stevens of Oklahoma; daughter, Tulsea “Loke” Ellamar of Kalaheo; his mother, Angeline Ellamar; three grandchildren: Kaikea Stevens and Kuuleialoha Stevens of Oklahoma and Darrin Ellamar-Martin of Kalaheo; six brothers, Richard (Sarah) Clarose of Colorado, Frederic (Pauline) Ellamar of Hilo, Gabriel Ellamar of Kwajalein, Gerald (Bonnie) Ellamar of Wailua, Andrew Ellamar of Hanama‘ulu and Ronald Ellamar of Kalaheo; six sisters, Gloria Robar of Virginia, Linda Murray of North Carolina, Lovina Steinlager of Topeka, Kansas, Anita Manakofoa of California, Donna Lopez of Waimea and Faith Ellamar of Maui; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family from 6-10 p.m. on Thursday, July 29, at the Kauai Veterans Center; service officiated by Pastor Carl Faford will begin at 7 p.m. Casual attire is suggested.
