Registration is now being accepted for the Hanalei Canoe Club’s 24th Annual Ha‘ena to Hanalei 8-Mile Run/Walk/Relay, and the 1-mile Keiki Fun Run that will take place on Saturday, June 5.
It promises to be one of the most beautiful and low stress run/walks of the year with prizes for top finishers in all age groups. Additionally, all participants receive a commemorative tee-shirt and pancake breakfast.
The Run/Walk begins at Ke‘e Beach on the northshore of Kaua‘i with free transportation being provided to the starting line from the Hanalei Pier finish line.
The finish line is at the Hanalei Pier where you can run and jump into the Bay for a quick cooldown before the pancake breakfast at the canoe club.
For people who don’t wish to do the entire 8-mile course, they can team-up with 3 others and make a relay out of the distance. Children (14 and under) may sign up for the 1-mile fun run.
Entry fees for adults is $25 ($30 race day), relay teams pay $100 ($110 race day), and children pay only $10.
Those wishing to come to the event to cheer may purchase a $5.00 ticket for the breakfast.
