Seiso ‘Paisan’ Sasaki
Seiso ‘Paisan’ Sasaki of Honolulu, died Aug. 24, 2002, at Queen’s Medical Center, at the age of 82.
Born in Lihue, Kauai on May 25, 1920, he was retired from federal civil service and was a member of the 100th Infantry Battalion, Headquarters Co.
He is survived by his wife, Christina Sasaki; son, Arthur Sasaki; daughter: Rumi (Glenn) Kobayashi of Kauai; brothers, Charles (Misao) Sasaki and Masakazu Sasaki.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 5, at Hosoi Garden Mortuary; memorial service 6 p.m. The family asks that flowers be omited and suggests aloha attire.
Arrangements are being handled by Hosoi Garden Mortuary.
Rosmund Kanani Akeo of Honolulu and Kauai, died on Aug. 31, 2002, at Queen’s Medical Center, at the age of 61.
Born Aug. 6, 1941, in Honolulu, she worked for Hilton Hotels for 30 years and Aston Hotels for 7 years.
She is survived by her life companion, Herbert Sweeney; brother, Harris Okashige; children, Hawley “Ipo” Hohu, Clarence “Kainoa” Hohu, Andrew “Kamaoha” Hohu and Darnell “Olu” Ward; seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Borthwick Mortuary on Oahu Thursday, Sept. 5; service at 9 a.m. with burial at 11 a.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery. Aloha attire is suggested and that flowers be omitted.
