Agnes Miyamoto of Lihu’e, Kaua’i, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on May 15, 2002, at the age of 88.
She was born in Anahola, Kaua’i on Feb. 6, 1914.
She is survived by two sons, Paul (Flora) Miyamoto of Kapa’a, Kaua’i and David Miyamoto of Lihu’e, Kaua’i; two daughters, Janet (Charles) Niitani of Lihu’e, Kaua’i and Mae (Wally) Sekiya of Mililani, O’ahu; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Yoshio (Mie) Shiraki of Lihu’e, Kaua’i; sister, Misayo Hashimoto of Pearl City, O’ahu; two sisters-in-law, Shina Shiraki of Kapa’a, Kaua’i and Edith Shiraki of Honolulu, O’ahu; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, at the Lihue Hongwanji Mission; service officiated by Rev. Yukiko Motoyoshi will begin at 4:30 p.m. Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.

Gilbert “Gil” Lapero Pacleb of Wailuku, Hawai’i, died on May 12, 2002 at his residence, at the age of 59.
Born on March 31, 1943 in Lihu’e, Kaua’i, He was the business agent for the painters union.
He is survived by his wife: Theresa Pacleb, three children: Caleb Pacleb of Wailuku; Ariel Pacleb of Wailuku; Gilbert Aontoy of Honolulu; brother: Mariano Pacleb of Kapa’a, Kaua’i and 5 grandchildren.
Services were held at the Harris United Methodist Church in Honolulu. Burial at Valley of The Temple.
Arrangements were held by Nakamura Mortuary.
