Santos Daluzon Lagundino of Waimea, died at Waimea Care Center on May, 20, 2002, at the age of 81.
A surveyor for Kekaha Sugar Plantation, he was born on Nov. 2, 1920, in Bangui, Ilocos Norte Philippines.
He is survived by his wife: Benita Lagundino, sons: the late Holofernes (Orefil) Lagundino, Eduardo (Mariana) Lagundino and Ferdinand (Antonia) Lagundino, Sr. and adopted sons: Ediemar (Christy) Lagundino and Ferdinand (Tammy) Lagundino, Jr.
Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. There are numerous friends and additional family.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, May 28, at Borthwick Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and again on Wednesday, May 29, at Borthwick Mortuary Chapel from 1 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Kekaha Public Cemetery.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements by Borthwick Kaua’i Mortuary.
Yonetoshi Morita
Yonetoshi “Mano” Morita of Hilo, died at the Hilo Medical Center on May 18, 2002, at the age of 84.
A retired clerk for Young Brothers, he was born in Hilo on April 28, 1918. He was a member of the Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Bensuin and the Kumamoto Kenjin Kai.
He is survived by sons: Nathan Morita of Hilo and Alan (Irene “Mimi) Morita of Kaneohe, O’ahu, daughter: Marian (Maurice) Takeshima of Hilo, brother: Paul (Mildred) Morita of Honolulu and sister: Doris Nakamura of Kaua’i. There are three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Thursday, May 23, from 4-5 p.m. at the Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. in the Dodo Mortuary Chapel.
The family requests casual attire.
