Kendall-Jackson Wine Estates, Ltd. is sponsoring a charity golf tournament to benefit Kauai’s children.
The tournament proceeds will be evenly contributed to children’s educational needs at the Princeville Public Library and Na Kamalei School in Kilauea.
Funds from the charity golf tournament will be used by the Princeville Public Library to purchase educational materials and computers for children and junior high students.
Included in these materials will be Hawaiiana books and videos, educational software for kindergarten through sixth grade, classical juvenile fiction titles, and home schooling books.
The charitable funds will also aid in supporting the scholarship fund at Na Kamalei School in Kilauea.
The school currently operates pre-school, kindergarten, and grades one through six. Its mission is to provide an educational experience with a purpose of nurturing the innate potential of the child.
The school community is inspired by the Waldorf approach to education. All educators are committed to developing life-long learners who are physically, emotionally, intellectually and spiritually prepared to meet and embrace the gifts and challenges of life.
The tournament will take place on Saturday, April 6, 2002 at the Princeville Makai Course. The Golf Shotgun will begin at 11:00 a.m.
