The Kapa’a Warrior girls basketball team fell to the Kalani Falcons 68-44 Saturday in a rematch of Thursday’s game at Bernice Hundley Gymnasium.
Ashley Takata led the Falcons with 12 points, three assists and two steals.
For the Warriors, Kanoe Arinaga led all scores with 11 points and seven rebounds; Ihilani Yama had six points, seven rebounds; and Jasmine Stevenson has five points, six rebounds.
The Falcons trounced Kapa’a 44-18 in the first half, leaving them little or no room for a comeback. Kalani notched nine steals in the half; the Warriors committed 17 turnovers in the game. Despite outscoring Kalani 26-24 in the final half, the Warriors’ couldn’t bounce back.
Sharlene Carillo had four points, two rebounds; Danielle Hill had four points, one rebound; Jackie Alapai had four points, three rebounds; Tania Tasic had four points, two rebounds; Tescilly Macguire had two points, two rebounds.
