HILO — Punahou School of the Interscholastic League of Honolulu won both the boys and girls divisions of the 2018 Hawaiian Airlines Canoe Paddling Championships on Saturday in Hilo Bay.
HILO — Punahou School of the Interscholastic League of Honolulu won both the boys and girls divisions of the 2018 Hawaiian Airlines Canoe Paddling Championships on Saturday in Hilo Bay.
In the boys final, Punahou finished first with a time of 3:45.10. Seabury Hall of the Maui Interscholastic League was second with a time of 3:48.59, and Kalaheo of the Oahu Interscholastic Association was third with 3:50.76.
Punahou won the girls final with a time of 4:16.64. Kamehameha Schools-Kapalama of the ILH was second with 4:23.09, and King Kekaulike of the MIL was third with 4:32.54.
Seabury Hall placed first in the mixed crew final with a time of 3:57.76. Kamehameha Schools-Maui of the MIL was second with 4:02.61. Kea’au of the Big Island Interscholastic Federation was third with 4:06.61.
Kapaa High School’s varsity girls and varsity mixed crews competed at the state regatta. Kauai High School’s varsity boys crew took part as well.
