PUHI — The 18th annual American Culinary Federation Kauai Chapter Breakfast brunch buffet drew hundreds of hungry Kauaians Sunday morning.
The popular event was held on the lawn at Kaua‘i Community College.
Diners found an omelet station; a selection of choice meats including carved corned beef, ham and sausage; fruits; breakfast pastries; beverages; and continuous live entertainment featuring local musicians and dancers.
High-tech fans, and students looking for career opportunities, attended the The First Annual Kaua‘i Technology Career Fair, held concurently with the brunch at KCC’s new Technology Center.
The event was co-sponsored by Tech Team Kaua‘i, a collaboration between the County of Kaua‘i, KCC, the state Department of Education, the Pacific Missile Range Facility, the Kaua‘i Economic Development Board and high tech firms doing work on Kaua‘i. The Kaua‘i Island Utilities Cooperative also participated, along with volunteers from Kaua‘i companies.
The fair featured displays of career information and real-time high-tech displays.
The junior college’s annual used book sale stayed open to a packed house during the five-hour brunch. Funds from the sale go towards purchasing books for the KCC library.
