Shelly Cobb surfed her way to the top last week with an impressive 12-2 record. Cobb was followed by myself, Paul C. Curtis, and David Bice with 11-3 records.
Meanwhile, Shanna Pollard and Katie Beer did a stellar job at 10-4 in week three.
Dickie “Da Wizard” Chang and Ron Wiley (and Elvis) had a pretty good week to with 9-5 records. J. Robertson managed to stay afloat at 8-6.
Robertson’s published pick of Kapa‘a over Waimea didn’t hurt him because of a mishap on my behalf. Instead, the Ho‘ike boss chose the Menehune, which prevailed over the Warriors last Friday (sorry J.). Teamwise, the biggest jump came from The Garden Island crew, (finally!) who gained a few games on the second-place radio crew of FM97’s David Bice, Kong’s Ron Wiley, and Surf’s Shelly Cobb.
The TV group remains on top and holds onto a commanding lead, thanks to KT Production’s Katie Beer, who continues to flourish. Also, we have decided to raise the stakes by actually putting something at stake besides pride. The overall winner will enjoy a prize from each of us and the team winners will get a treat from each group. The prizes are still a mystery, but I’ll keep you posted.
This week, UH and Colorado are back on the schedule and everyone seemed to go with the ‘Buffs and Jordon Dizon and UH, who’s still looking for their very first win of the season. David Bice put it in perspective the best by mentioning that if UH loses again, the UH will have to stand for Un-Happy! Oh and, Dickie and Shanna have a side bet going, so if you see them out to lunch together, check out who’s fitting the bill, because that’s you’re winner for the week!
