Diane A. Kawakami of Lawai, died at home on May 9, 2005, at the age of 18.
Born in Lihu‘e on Jan. 21, 1987, she was a student at Kauai High.
She is survived by her parents, Galen and Linda Kawakami of Lawai; brother, Bransen Kawakami of Lawai; grandparents: James and Toshie Matsunaga of Lawai and grandmother Ellen Kawakami of Kalaheo; numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family from 9:30-11 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, at the Koloa Union Church; service at 11 a.m.
Casual attire is suggested and that flowers be omitted.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
John Patrick Rapozo
John Patrick Rapozo of Kalaheo, died at his home on May 9, 2005, at the age of 63.
Born in Waimea on Nov. 9, 1941, he was the facility manager with the National Tropical Botanical Garden. He is survived by his wife, Florence; three sons, John (Jovanna) Rapozo Jr. of Kaumakani, Wayne Rapozo of London and Chad (Ilima) Rapozo of Kona; daughter, Cheree (Evan) Vasconcellos of Lawai; 10 grandchildren; two brothers, George (Marlene) Rapozo of Washington and Manuel (Chermain) Rapozo of Kekaha; two sisters, Louise (Jerry) Ibsen of Kapa‘a and Angeline Suzuki of Makaweli. Friends may visit with the family from 3-4 p.m. on Monday, May 16, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kalaheo; service at 4 p.m.; Mass at 4:30 p.m.
Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted.

Mitsuo Yamamoto
Mitsuo Yamamoto of Honolulu, died May 1, 2005, in Honolulu.
Born Oct. 16, 1924, in Koloa, he was a retired building contractor, restaurant owner, and WWII veteran. He loved meeting and talking with people, and enjoyed traveling.
He lived his last years with his daughter, Audrey (Mike) Abe in Honolulu. He is also survived by sons, Rolin (Robin) Yamamoto of Redmond, Wash., and Grant Yamamoto of Kauai; grandchildren Liz Abe, and Riley, Russell and Robert Yamamoto; sisters Satsue Ono and Dorothy (Takashi) Yamada; brother: Masao (Joan) Yamamoto; nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 15, at Lihue Christian Church followed by service at 1:30 p.m. Inurnment ceremony with veteran honors at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 3, at the Punchbowl National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. Casual attire. No flowers.
Arrangements are being handled by Hosoi Garden Mortuary.
Joseph Clayton Rodrigues
Joseph Clayton Rodrigues of Kaua‘i, died at Whittier, Calif., on May 5, 2005, at the age of 67.
Born in Hanama‘ulu on Jan. 24, 1928, he was a U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife: Diane Rodrigues; four sons: Clayton, Rocky, Stanley and Butchy Rodrigues; his father: Manuel Amorin and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Nora Amorin; brother, Richard Amorin, and sister, Marjorie Oana.
Graveside services will be held at Kauai Veterans Cemetery on Saturday, May 14, at 3 p.m. officiated by the Rev. Gene Redden.
Interment to follow.
He will be buried with full military honors.
Casual attire is suggested and the family requests that flowers be omitted.
Javis Martinez Ruaboro
Javis Martinez Ruaboro of Kilauea, died May 9, 2005, at his home at the age of 56.
Born Jan. 1, 1949, in the Philippines, he was a gardener.
He is survived by three brothers: Feliciano (Pilar) Ruaboro of Kilauea, Ricardo (Dionisia) Ruaboro of the Philippines, and Van (Amelia) Ruaboro of Kilauea; one sister: Carmen (Jaime) Jiminez of Kilauea; numerous nieces, nephews, great grandnieces, and great grandnephews.
Friends may visit with the family from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, at St. Sylvester’s Church in Kilauea, where Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Kilauea Japanese Cemetery.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
