Capt. Stephen Eddy Budlong
Capt. Stephen Eddy Budlong, ret., of Cochecton, NY, died peacefully on March 11, 2006, in Norwood, MA after a brief battle with cancer. He was a retired Cranston Rescue Captain and firefighter.
Stephen was born, the only child of Frank Rhodes and Maude (Eddy) Budlong, on Jan. 31, 1943 at the Providence Lying In Hospital. Before retiring to Kaua‘i, he lived in Charlestown, RI and recently returned to live on the mainland.
He is survived by his daughters, Briar Budlong and Lori (Budlong) Glockner, and one granddaughter. Also Stephen E. Budlong Jr., his sister Christine (Budlong) Magpantay and her 3 children.

Cecilio Dacay
Cecilio Packet Dacay of Puhi died on March 15, 2006, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 81.
Born in Pakala on Feb. 5, 1925, he retired as the Senior Harvesting Supervisor from McBryde Sugar Plantation and also a tour bus driver with Grayline Hawaii.
He is survived by his wife Delphine “Nina” Dacay of Puhi, two daughters; Aurora (William) Fritz of Wailua, Wanda (Glyn) Higashi of Puhi, two sons; Mans-field (Donna) Dacay of Lihu‘e, Wadsworth (Lynette) Dacay of California, two sisters; Mary (Stanley) Bicoy of O‘ahu, Genoveva (Floyd) Miguel of Puhi, 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, March 23, at Immaculate Conception Church with visitation from 9 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow.
