Florencio Agcaoili
Florencio Balisbisana Agcaoili of Koloa passed away April 9, 2008, at the age of 86. Born April 5, 1922, in Pallas, Vintar, Philippines, he was retired from McBryde Sugar Co. as a truck driver.
He was preceded in death by parents Lucio and Presca Agcaoili, brother Manuel Agcaoili, sister Angela Maltezo, and half-brother Florentino Agcaoili.
He is survived by wife Gloria R. Agcaoili; sons Albert (Jayne) Agcaoili, Oliver Agcaoili, James Agcaoili, Filmer Agcaoili, all of Koloa, Noel (Jeanalyn) Agcaoili of Lihu‘e and Denley (Ama) Agcaoili of Honolulu; grandchildren Ashley Agcaoili of Las Vegas, Alana Agcaoili, Keano Agcaoili and Ashton Agcaoili; brothers Claro (Dominga) Agcaoili of Porterville, Calif., and Florendo (Virgie) Agcaoili of Stockton, Calif.; sisters Emilia Jacinto of Koloa, Zenaida Ramos and Caridad Rivera, both of Vintar, Philippines; half-brothers Leandro (Lina) Agcaoili of Lihu‘e and Vincente (Naty) Agcaoili of Wailua; and numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 17, at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary Chapel in Koloa. Services will begin at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens in Kapaia.

Agapito Navor
Agapito N. “Pete” Navor of Anahola passed away May 5, 2008, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 96. Born March 15, 1912, in Luna, La Union in the Philippines, he was a maintenance worker with Wilcox Memorial Hospital and Coco Palms.
He is survived by sons Agapito (Melissa) Navor Jr. of Honolulu and Ricardo (Adelina) Navor Sr. of Hanama‘ulu; daughters Ulu Navor (Dan Urwiler) of Anahola, Adelina Negrillo of Hanama‘ulu, Cecilla (Jay) Navor of Honolulu and Paulina Meling (Ising) Bumatay of the Philippines; 37 grandchildren; 82 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Betty Nabor of Pearl City, O‘ahu; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 18, at the Lihue Christian Church; service at 4 p.m. Casual attire is requested and the family requests that flowers be omitted.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary Ltd.
Bonifacio Polintang
Bonifacio M. Polintang of Hanama‘ulu died on April 16, 2008, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 79. Born Nov. 5, 1928, in the Philippines, he was a retired irrigator for Lihu‘e Plantation.
He is survived by wife Magdalena Polintang; daughters Rose (Bernie) Semana, Glory (Efren) Taylan, Betty Polintang and Dana (Danial) Garven; brother Pedro Polintang; sister Carolina Polintang; 10 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Saturday, May 17, at Immaculate Conception Church; Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kalapaki Bay Park Cemetery in Lihu‘e. Casual attire is suggested.

Katherine Lam
Katherine (Kathy) Anne Lam died peacefully April 13, 2008, at her home in Kapa‘a at the age of 54. Born July 12, 1953, in Falls Church, Va., she was a certified nurses aide for Nursefinders.
Lam had no known relatives, but her family was her many friends, who all loved her dearly and will remember her always with love. She has many friends from Friendship House where she had found much love and compassion. She also had many close and casual friends on the island.
Lam worked incredibly hard to bring her skills up to a very high standard and gave kind and loving home care to many elderly and disabled here on Kaua‘i.
Lam will be remembered as an exceptionally kind, giving, compassionate and trustworthy friend to all. She will be greatly missed.
Friends may gather at Friendship House following the service for refreshments. Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted with the arrangements.
