Congratulations to Richard and Vivian Stein on the birth of their son, Lucas, Friday! Richard had an idea it was going to happen at the opening of the Contractors Association of Kaua‘i home show.
Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hanneman was in town for Kaua‘i Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr.’s State of the County address and extended his visit to take in the CAK home show where Joe Grace already had his lunch wagon parked for the evening crowd.
Drew Bradley of REC Solar was excited as he talked with Gary Nitta and Helen Cox about the Kaua‘i Community College photovoltaic system which was “turned on,” Friday, after Helen got back from the mayor’s address.
Drew said they also installed systems for Long’s Drugs, Costco and Pioneer Hi-Bred who are among their client list here.
Dave Walker (he was at the KIF track meet) said Brian Yamase has been promoted to manager of the First Hawaiian Bank in Lihu‘e and Brian was on hand to welcome guests to the CAK home show.
While Brian was at Waimea, he used to spend his afternoons mowing the sidewalks and some of the park areas. Now that he’s in Lihu‘e, does that mean he’s not doing that anymore?
