Kaua‘i Community College nursing graduates Cherish Mariani, left, and Whitney Mitchell, center, who both received special awards, announced that Maureen Tabura, the Kaua‘i Community College nursing program coordinator, was the recipient of the Regents Medal for Excellence in Teaching award during the nurses’ pinning ceremony on Saturday, at Grove Farm Museum on Nawiliwili Road in Lihu‘e.

LIHU‘E — Twelve Kaua‘i Community College nursing program graduates received their appropriate degrees on Friday, and were honored during the traditional pinning ceremony on Saturday at the Grove Farm Museum, the home of Mabel Wilcox, the first public health nurse on Kaua‘i.
