Helene Eiko Tada
Helene Eiko Tada passed away on March 13, 2022, at the age of 72, in Lihu‘e, Kaua‘i. She was born on Aug. 30, 1949, in Lihu‘e, Kaua‘i. She was a receptionist.
She was preceded in death by her father Nichi Miyao, mother Pansy Miyao, brother Warren Miyao and son Delrick Tada.
Helene is survived by her daughter Melanie Matsumoto (Tyrus) of Lihu‘e, grandson Kristian Matsumoto, brothers Earl Miyao of Lawai, Winston (Marian) Ogata of Lihu‘e, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A service will be held at the Garden Island Mortuary on Sunday, May 1, 2022. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. With a Celebration of Life to follow at 3 p.m. The family recommends wearing a mask.

Virginia “Linda” Nicolas Cadiam
Virginia “Linda” Nicolas Cadiam passed away on March 28, 2022, at the age of 82. Born Nov. 18, 1939, on O‘ahu, Hawai‘i, she was a courtesy clerk at Koloa Big Save.
She was preceded in death by parents Guillermo and Luciana Tacderan, sisters Helen Nono, Bernie Bueno, brothers Francisco Polintan, Arthur Tacderan and Ernest Tacderan.
Virginia is survived by husband Mauricio Cadiam, sons Marvin (Lori) Cadiam, Brian (Deann Ferreira) Cadiam, daughter Reyne (David Kamakea) Cadiam, sisters Francis Gadingan, Clara Visitacion, Dolly Recopilation, Maggie Bermudes, Kathleen Arucan, Marilyn Salas, grandchildren Kylen Cadiam (Chanelle), Kyson Cadiam, Makaylin Jardin (Brock Ephan), Malyssalin Jardin, Meigan Jardin, great-grandchildren Chance Cadiam, Chaylen Cadiam, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A private Celebration of Life will be held.

Alperica Galiza Ramento
Alperica Galiza Ramento, 66, of Puhi, passed away at home on April 20, 2022. She was born in Tumauini, Isabela, Philippines on Jan. 17, 1956, and retired after working 25 years from the Kaua‘i Marriott Hotel as a Chambermaid.
Alperica was always full of energy and love. She would spend her time crocheting and giving her finished work to her family and friends.
She enjoyed morning walks at Kaua‘i Lagoon and watching the sunrise at Nawiliwili Harbor with her husband, spending time with her grandchildren, and reading the bible.
She was preceded in death by her father Pedro Galiza Sr., siblings Maria Galiza, Delia Galiza, Jose Galiza and niece Jeri Ann Galiza.
Alperica is survived by her husband Florencio Ramento, son Shaun Ramento, daughter Karen Ramento, mother Rosita Galiza, grandchildren Kolten Gipolan, Ares Gipolan, siblings Wilmer (Emely) Galiza, Jel “Lito” Galiza, Renato (Marijean) Galiza, Imelda (Gualberto) Honorato, Pedro (Jessica) Galiza Jr., Divina (Gerald) Rapozo, numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Immaculate Conception Church, with viewing from 9:30 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens.
