Ronald ‘Uncle Ron’ Clark
Ronald “Uncle Ron” Clark went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Nov. 22, 2020. Born July 10, 1936, in Grass Valley, California. Ron moved to Kaua‘i in 1970 and fell in love with the island and the people and made it his home. He worked for the Department of Transportation for 20 years and was a long- time bus driver for Greylines Hawai‘i. He was a retired Marine and a dedicated member of the Marine Corps League.
Ron was a faithful member of the Kapa‘a First Hawaiian Church for over 30 years and was the church’s Greeter, where he welcomed local members and visitors alike every Sunday. He dedicated his life to genuinely helping people, no matter what their circumstances. He was truly an angel on earth.
Ron is survived by his son Lani Kamakanikailialoha Clark, his grand daughters Teirine Marie Clagett and Alexia Uiako Alohilani Clark.
A celebration of life with the scattering of his ashes will be held Sunday, April 3, 2022, at noon, at Lydgate Park, north end parking lot closest to Wailua River. (Please bring your own chair if you plan to attend. Mahalo.)
William Edward Villanueva, Jr.
William Edward Villanueva, Jr., also known as “Boy”, “Eddie Boy” or “Willy”, and later changed his name to Sunshine Pablo, 65, of Vincennes, Indiana, passed away on Dec. 22, 2021, at Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana. Willy / Sunshine was born on May 24, 1956, in Honolulu, Hawai‘i.
After he graduated from high school, he attained a degree in accounting and began his career. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
He is survived by his father William (Lolita) Villanueva of Kilauea, Hawai‘i, mother Eleanor Cubero Litherland of Vincennes, Indiana, sisters Rose Marie Morimoto of Lihu‘e, Hawai‘i, Theresa Yadao of Kilauea, Hawai‘i, Leah (Ray) Ho of Wailua, Hawai‘i, Deanna (Brian) Cowin of Tampa, Florida, brothers Walter (Shirley) Villanueva of Fairfield, California, Wendell (Jade) Villanueva of Mililani, Hawai‘i, Delbert (Allison) Litherland of Indianapolis, Indiana, Allen (Candace) Litherland of Yuma, Arizona, Ron Litherland of Vincennes, Indiana, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather Larry Litherland of Vincennes, Indiana.
The family has chosen to hold a private memorial in remembrance of him.
