Ronald ‘Uncle Ron’ Clark
Ronald “Uncle Ron” Clark went home to be with his heavenly father on Nov. 22, 2020. Born July 10, 1936, in Grass Valley, California, he moved to Kaua‘i in 1970 and fell in love with the island and the people and made it his home. He worked for the state Department of Transportation for 20 years and was a longtime bus driver for Gray Line Hawai‘i. He was a retired Marine and a dedicated member of the Marine Corps League.
He was a faithful member of the Kapa‘a First Hawaiian Church for over 30 years, and was the church’s greeter, where he welcomed local members and visitors alike every Sunday. He dedicated his life to genuinely helping people, no matter what their circumstances. He was truly an angel on earth.
He is survived by son Lani Kamakanikailialoha Clark and granddaughters Teirine Marie Clagett and Alexia Uiako Alohilani Clark.
A celebration of life with the scattering of his ashes is Sunday, April 3 at noon at Lydgate Park’s north end parking lot, closest to Wailua River. The family suggests those attending bring their own chairs.
Kate Craighill Roberts
Kate Craighill Roberts passed away on March 22, 2022, at the age of 94, in Kapa‘a. She was born on Nov. 18, 1927, in Nanchang, China. She was a housewife.
She was preceded in death by husband John Carlton Roberts and brothers Lloyd Rutherford Craighill Jr. and Peyton Gardner Craighill.
She is survived by son William (Elena) Peyton Roberts of Charlotte, North Carolina, daughters Dorothy Roberts Bekeart of Kapa‘a, Carolyn Roberts of Tucson and Rebecca Ann Roberts of Tucson, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A private service will be held.
Garden Island Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
Timothy J. Casey
Timothy J. Casey, 62, of Lihu‘e, passed away on March 1, 2022, at Wilcox Medical Center. He was born in Massachusetts on April 8, 1959, and was a dedicated aircraft mechanic at United Airlines for 36 years.
He was preceded in death by father Richard J. Casey and grandparents James and Ruth Casey.
He is survived by children Brenden Casey, Connor Casey, Keleigh Casey, Max Casey Wexler and Sydney Casey, mother Joan Breshnahan Casey, siblings Carol (Steve) Burrows, Michael (Shirley) Casey, Richard (Cindy) Casey, Kathy (Chuck) Cowing, James (Cathy) Casey, John (Barbara) Casey and William (Julie) Casey, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at a later date.
Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
