On Tuesday, officials were notified that a shark, approximately 2 feet long, was seen swimming in the large pond at Lydgate Park.
Officials with the state Department of Land and Natural Resources Division of Aquatic Resources are working on a plan to safely capture and relocate the shark back into the ocean. Until then, beach-goers are asked to follow all posted warning signs and advisories.
