Rufo ‘Rufus’ Cardenas Jr.
Rufo “Rufus” Cardenas Jr., 64, of Kapahi, passed away at home on May 11, 2020. He was born in Lihue, on Aug. 26, 1955, and was the Handyman and Mechanic for Otsuka’s Furniture and Pacific Furniture, worked as houseman at Coco Palms Resort, and as a delivery person at Koa Trading.
Rufo was preceded in death by his parents Rufo and Margaret Cardenas Sr.
Rufo is survived by his wife Noe Cardenas, his children Michael (Kristina Iida) Cardenas, Michelle (Chad Alayvilla) Cardenas, Miulan (Ryan Contrades) Cardenas, Melanie (Ramon Ramos) Cardenas, seven grandchildren Ganen, Katherine, Kailani, Dana, Kainalu, Oliver, Kaylor, Orianna, siblings George (Mary) Cardenas, MaryJane (Benny) Alonzo, Bobby Cardenas, Angel (Cindy) Cardenas, numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020, at Way of Salvation Church in Kapaa. There will be a visitation at 9 a.m. followed by a service held at 10:30 a.m.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
