Nancy S. Okada

Nancy S. Okada passed away on Aug. 25, 2020 in Waimea. She was born on Dec. 21, 1924, in Kapa‘a.

She was a housewife.

She was preceded in death by husband Motonobu Okada.

She is survived by sons Eric (Alison) Okada of Lihu‘e, Michael (Terri) Okada of Las Vegas, and Patrick (Kathy) Okada of Waimea, daughter Charlene (Glenn) Yoshida of Waimea, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Private services will be held. The family requests no flowers or koden (monetary gifts).

Garden Island Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.

Manuel Lomosad

Manuel Lomosad passed away on July 20, 2020, at the age of 71, in Hanapepe.

He was born on Dec. 20, 1948, in Waimea, was employed at Kaua‘i Freight Service, and served in the U.S Army.

He was preceded in death by father Hilario Lomosad, mother Severina A. Lomosad, and brother Larry Lomosad.

He is survived by brothers Vincente (Christine) Lomosad of Los Angeles, Pedro (Diana) Lomosad of Sacramento, California, and Alejandro (Georgia) Lomosad of Hanapepe, sisters Gaudencia Ambalong of Sacramento, California, Mercedes Sanders of Sacramento, California, Julia Lomosad of Lake Tahoe and Leonora Townsend of Mississippi.

A private burial will be held at the Kaua‘i Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
