Mahalo to the Kauai Buddhist Council on a great Hanamatsuri (celebrating births is a pretty universal practice, and did you realize the familiar “Happy Birthday” makes a good meditation piece?) service Sunday. The Lihue Hongwanji people (Jolene Ogle said she’s going) will be part of the Relay for Life (you can help by patronizing all the goodies from the participating teams) benefiting the American Cancer Society that will come up Saturday at the Hanapepe soccer fields.
