Hole-in-one at Wailua

WAILUA — Sonhwa Mukai of Kapaa hit a hole-in-one at the Wailua Golf Course on Jan. 15.

Mukai used a Honma driver to hit the ball 172 yards into the cup on Wailua’s third hole. She is the first female to accomplish the feat on the Wailua course in 2019.

It was her second hole-in-one in 20 years playing.

Clyde Ishida, Kazu Yoshioka and Ernest Sueoka were witnesses.
