Marissa Tanji of Monkeypod Jam was waiting for the load of trick-or-treaters at the Kauai Culinary Market at The Shops at Kukuiula, where the first event of the Poipu Food & Wine Festival starts next week when Chef Esteban Alicea of Merriman’s goes up against Chef Fetulele Taala of the Dolphin, hosted by Chef Celeste Rogers, winner of the Food Network’s “Chopped” competition.

Florence Toyofuku is ready for trick-or-treating (teal pumpkin?) while waiting on the Kauai Culinary Market at The Shops at Kukuiula Wednesday. Did the unicorn make it to the Barkoberfest, too?

Chef Judy Capertina of Haole Girl Island Sweets (yes, she was part of the inaugural Thursday Afternoon Street Market at Kukui Grove Cetner, too!) had coconut macaroons on hand for the Halloween edition of the Kauai Culinary Market at The Shops at Kukuiula Wednesday, where little trick-or-treaters were seen (Helaine Perel said they were doing the Teal Pumpkin Project, too!), and Stacie Chiba-Miguel allowed a sneak peek at the non-candy treats in store for people who can’t have candy.
